People tend to forget that Majora's Mask released only 2 years after Ocarina of time due to reused assets and engine. It appears this BotW sequel is doing the same thing, so it is not rocket science to see that this announcement is right where it needs to be.
Those are some nice visual improvements as well. Day one of Switch for me.
Worked for Nintendo and BotW...
How do you steal thunder from someone that is not even there?
What a dumb title...
So does the Switch though. Is it hard to accept that there can be two top dogs?
Not knowing is better than them saying it flat out will be. I will just take this as good news in general.
Well it will be on toasters before PS4...
This can be said about any company, any year. The whole point is to hear news about things we do not yet know which means potential is always unmeasured from the start anyway.
That being said, I do expect good things from Nintendo this year.
@n1kki6
The only WiiU port that fits that description is Mario Kart 8. The others, while successful, were not system sellers nor did they sell like one.
And no, BotW does not fit the bill as an old WiiU port as it was a day and date cross gen release that never came to the WiiU until the damage was done.
It was more the poor advertising and lack of huge system sellers, despite having good exclusives in general.
I know people that to this day think the WiiU was a tablet add on to the Wii, until I explain it to them. That says a lot in of itself.
Because of how much effort the dev is willing to put into the port.
Mobile games suck, thats why I enjoy my Switch so much. The versatility of it is what makes it a better pic for "adult's best friend".
@343
I am 32, but seeing how you act like a 12 year old, I didn't expect you to consider how old I really am before making a fool of yourself.
Also it ended in 2013, so it was relevant 6 years ago. That is literally half of what you claim, as it did not end a single year after it launched.
It really wasn't...
You have not been following them recently then. Oh wait, you hate everything that has to do with gaming anyway...nevermind.
You know you are desperate to downplay something you don't like by playing the tired false claims that Nintendo caters to children, despite various more mature exclusives and more mature 3rd party ports.
Plus we all know that Sony is all about the kids these days, seeing how the same games that they censor on PS4 are left alone on Switch.
*Goes buys Switch at Best Buy, gets a free game*
*Return Switch at Wal Mart without a receipt*
Life hack
Nintendo games don't get criticized?
Triforce Heros, Mario Tennis Aces, Kirby Star Allies, Star Fox Zero, Paper Mario Color Splash, Meteoid Federation Force, etc all say hello...
Nintendo get judged just like any other dev. There just seems to be a vocal minority that do not want their heavy hitting games to be as good as they are, so they spin the tired old narrative that Nintendo gets a pass, when in reality they don't.
@Zeldafan64
A holiday 2020 release for Prime 4 is totally realistic, as is a 2021 release. If it releases in 2022 (which I do not think is going to happen), it might as well be a Switch 2 launch title similar to how Breath of the Wild was.
SE was good and Nintendo just destroyed everyone. So no, it was not a complete loss for gamers pending on what you were excited for.
Everything else was either a let down or absolutely sucked however.
