they have quite some work to do with Crysis, as it is bleeding edge and has a lot to live up to. So don't expect announcements about console versions anytime soon. Its possible EA will use some other developer to work on console versions with Crytek engine 2 if the PC version is successful. Crytek had made it very clear Crysis PC is more important now than anything.
nooooo, at least I have the beta, the thing runs better than expected on my cr@ppy 939 cpu and old ddr though not really playable at 10-20fps. btw it has horrible sound issues and even worse framerate on Vista.

I am not that interested in this game anymore as I am tired of this era in Star Wars universe. I just wish KOTOR 3 is coming in a year or two.

yeah only $10 difference. I guess it comes down to whether you prefer mouse and kb or gamepad. The game is going to look the same(except for resolution of course)

yup OpenGL is version 3 on paper, heard that it implements many similar features from DX10. btw a small number of people(probably incl. nasim) here think OpenGL is open source.

Microsoft DirectX team has come a long way from about 15 years back when John Carmack said Direct3D "was a pain in the a$s" to work with(in a petition from many programmers to get MS to withdraw DX and support OpenGL)
