I loved Crackdown 1. When it was released, it was awesome. Jumping around tall building to collect orbs and the power ups themselves were a blast.
My 360 died before 2 came out and Realtime Worlds(the devs behind 1) moved onto APB which was an absolute disaster.
I wish they would release it on PC.
16GB Vita card would be useful for region switching as I jumped onto EU plus after seeing Zero Escape, MGS:HD and DOA5 along with 90 days extra.
But I am expecting to see higher capacity cards announced during E3.
Never expected to see a something like Agarest on Steam. Anyone who likes Agarest(and this genre) and has a Steam account needs to vote for this game.
MS is going to primarily target the Wii demography with their next console
+
Constant Internet connection required for the console to work
Where could it possibly go wrong?
Yeah anything but Paradise 2.
Another games "journalism" site not to bother with. I did rather eat Doritos with Geoff.
Always online DRM(in addition to yearly Live sub) is an even worse betrayal than lack of BC. You better hope the rumors are wrong.
No both PS3 launch models had BC. The European ones had partial BC(Emotion Engine removed) and from 2008(iirc) BC was totally removed.
As convenient as it would have been, BC is not coming back(except Classics). Although I am not getting a PS4 at launch, I hope the launch console is a long lasting sturdy beast(360 was disastrous and PS4 launch consoles were also unreliable in the long run, both due to lead free solder).
Lol at the rumor meter saying "Hopefully"
It would seem MS is going to make a noose out of their once excellent Xbox Live to hang itself this generation.
Certainly not a deal breaker but trying to spin it as a plus is just silly.
It doesn't hurt that PS4 doesn't have BC as it is going to be reasonably priced from the start but lack of BC is not a good thing.
We just end up with more "classics" to buy again.
Check the PS3 page on https://store.sonyentertain...
But the prices are not competitive with retailers like Amazon. For example you can get MK Komplete Edition for $20 on Amazon while it is $50 here.
Live looks ridiculous in comparison to PS Plus but MS is unlikely to change.
Hopefully Nintendo shows some of its exclusives at E3 with solid release dates.
My old PS3 died before I had the chance of unwrapping and playing my copy of Demon Souls. Now I get to keep it sealed.
I hope it will possible to "purchase" Plus games for PS4 on the web store just like it is for Vita and PS3 now. This way Plus subscribers will have a stronger incentive to get PS4 as they will already have games to play.
What does Sony have to do with this?
You are underestimating discrete graphics cards. The most powerful(and overpriced) single GPU card, the Geforce Titan is already has more than twice the raw performance of PS4(1.8 vs 4.5 TFLOPS). No amount of design "magic" is going to be enough in 1-2 years.
Just enjoy the PS4. It being dev friendly, there will be a lot of great games(and exclusives) for it.
It is certain by next year PC is going to totally trash PS4(720 is already done) in raw perf. That is if numbers were everything.
But there are hardly any games(Crysis 3) on the PC that take advantage of a 1 year old card like GTX 680 and I don't think that situation is going to improve by a lot(Steam box with Linux is probably going backwards). Its still going to end up with mostly console ports, indies and a sprinkling of graphics monsters like Crysis 3.
It won&...
Going with Sony(a year or two after launch) and Nintendo(a few years later when there are a bunch of Ninty classics on the system) for the next gen.
I don't really care about MS this time.
Thanks to PSN cards, it is possible to get PS Plus for both US and EU. And I think EU Plus still has a 90 day extra offer.
Just the last two months make my EU Plus account worth it.
