for Apple its not just the price, also inflated ego. Though compared to other Apple products the inflation of the ego caused by iPhone is small since almost everyone and their dog owns one.
I don't care what the reviews. I played SO3 on my PS3 and personally I enjoyed it even though it had mixed reviews. Though I never would have guessed SO4 would end up on the 360.
Everyone who has been reading news for the last 2 or so years knows Microsoft doesn't really care about winning in Japan. So even that 20 percent increase is better than a decline. At least there is still some little tiny bit of interest rather than none.
But,still either because of MS hype, or enthusiastic reporting, the way certain games sold or a combination of factors, one kind of gets the feeling MS sold extremely well last year when that isn't the case.

Well, ever since I saw sh!tty games like Custers Revenge, it was obvious to me a game like this was going to be made. This game needs no defense, there is nothing to defend, its utter sh!t. But I am amazed at people that are ok with with games like Manhunt/The Darkness but can't even fanthom the existence of a sh!tty game like this. Supposedly it promotes rape while Manhunt doesn't promote murder. That logic doesn't work.

the title is misleading. I thought EA was justifying why it was going to release Mass Effect on the PS3. Stop with the stupid articles. As long as, EA bothers to bring Mass Effect 1 to the PS3 and also appropriately funds Bioware, any Bioware fan could hardly care about Mass Effect being multiplatform.

yanikins, I don't think you have played Mass Effect before. If ME2 does come to PS3, ME1 better be ported as well(eg ME1 releases this winter and then Mass Effect 2 next winter). There are just too much backstory in ME1. I don't think you can tell it with a 5 minute intro movie.
You cant compare ME to any of the games you mentioned.
