Sucks, but for the best to save profit. I feel bad for the people who will lose their jobs. But dang, were the things at the stores expensive, no wonder they closed them down. Sony needs to lower the price of there products or companies like samsung will continue to dominate.
@paleslan1 @Metallox What do you mean "Unfortunately." The game is impossible to play with any other controller. It is like me saying "unfortunately Mario 64 does not support the Snes controller." Without the controller capabilities the game would be come to be, it would lose it's gameplay.
Even illegal Rom's of Mario galaxy cannot be played without the wiimote because the game is built around it.
It is about less then half what the original DS did. I believe the DS sold 125 million, though really great sales nonetheless. Sold more than twice the gamecube which is 20 million.
Backwards compatibility, couch co-op and controller variety are all really big for me. Simple things that can be used with the gamepad make the games a whole lot more immersive. I once tried WW HD with the pro controller and I instantly went back to the wii u gamepad because of the simple map navigation and automatic item switching. I never wanted to go back because it was a pain to constantly pause the game and switch items when all I have to do with the gamepad is move my finger.
The galaxy games are debatably the best games of last generation. The level design, music and style were mastered. Without the motion controls, a lot of the design and gameplay would be dumped down. The motion controls are implemented spot on. The star bit mechanics would not be possible, pressing a button and doing a spin jump would make it harder to multi task and would be a nightmare, as well it is just so satisfying. I am not affected by this because I already have a charger, though it is odd if you are trying to get new people into the system. Though it is not at all hard to find a 3ds charger new or used for really cheap, the inconvenience is there.
I agree. Just look at Mario. He has been working his butt off for the last 30+ years yet the little guy still is able to have really creative content. The only times Mario has gone on "vacation" was when he saved Yoshi's island and had to clean up all of Isle delfino.

I hate Gametheory so much. He steals theories from other people with no sources and gets all the credit for them. Then you have all the GT fans that expect you to think that a lot of "his" theories are fact. Simply because they announce it a year before does not mean they have not been working on it for years. 3d world started right after 3d land. 3d land was released worldwide in 2011 and 3d world in 2013. That is 3 years of development time. Pikmin 3 took 8 years to fully develop. It was going to be on wii but was put on wii u instead to show what the gamepad could do with multitasking.
