Learn to tell one.
Nah, it's rather thorough with the storytelling, and the encyclopedia can give you a good bit of backstory for each character. You might not get some of the more nuanced stuff, but you won't get lost or anything.
"lol I can spout memes that clearly indicate I never actually watched or read the series 😂"
No, I don't agree with Xbox's decision at all. I disagree with SIE wasting time and money and practically restarting development which will likely set this game back by a minimum of a year and require this new IP to sell even HIGHER numbers just to recoup costs, let alone make a profit.
It'll be fine releasing as-is and getting an enhancement patch on the PS5.
"PS4's big announcements and successful responses to Microsoft policies came at E3, therefore, they happened BECAUSE of E3" is quite the take.
Why's that?
Yes, hi. Me.
Major Cole McGrath fanboy, dude's legit one of my favorite superhero characters.

What's Insomniac got to do with this topic?
When you attempt to troll but actually make a factual statement...
"Physics, AI, enemy/npc counts, load times, draw distance, and virtually every other technical aspect of game design is scalable. That's the simple truth of the matter."
And just like that, you've lost any and all credibility to speak on this topic.
YIKES.
You're a funny guy.
Way too serious, but funny.
The game was designed from the ground up for the PS4. What you're suggesting is they scrap a huge chunk of the game, lose a ton of time and work and money put into it, and practically restart development JUST to try to claim some sort of moral victory on a topic that doesn't need it.
And that's not even touching on the backlash from people who were promised the title for the PS4 being suddenly told they have to pay another $500 upfront to get to pay it.
...
You're once again arguing visuals and visuals alone.
Game development is about much more than that. AI improvements, physics enhancement, world density, being able to open things up for players more.
One of the things they were planning for Horizon, for example, was being able to hack and ride the Stormbirds. They had to scrap it, however, due to the limitations of the PS4's CPU and hard drive, it couldn't render what they needed at the speeds...
This reads a lot less like someone thinks it's bad for gamers and a lot more like a journalist who's upset that things won't be super conveniently lined up in one spot for them.
Gamers will still get their news, their game and console reveals, the exact same way as before: streamed into their homes. They'll still get to learn what each title is about, see gameplay, even get interviews to read from developers and executives. Not sure what changes for anyone b...
I loved Sony's show floor coverage since I got to see a lot of cool games most outlets didn't bother covering. But I get the same basic thing through State of Plays now, so I'm really not missing much.
Gosh, you've missed some really good games.
@Starchild
How so? What would I see there that I couldn't see in their own direct streams?
I dunno, this seems pretty fanservice-y to me.

Goku trained Gohan for three years, then again when it was just the two of them in the ROSAT for an entire year.
And Chi-Chi trained Goten.
And this is just training, not even touching on the time Goku actually spent with his kids, which he's also done a lot of.
There's a line between jokes and illegitimate character criticisms, man.
