That would be exactly why it's BAD news.
Ultra dumbed down combos and scoring?
I mean, I played through a mission without ever blocking and even forgot to change weapons as needed a few times. Almost got killed. Got stuck at one point. Just a typical casual playthrough for the hey of it.
...I still got a B. Including for Style.
That's broken. lol
Picking this one up for the PC, hopefully Day 1. Been anxiously looking forward to it.
@The_Infected
Would love to see them get Spyro as well. He's wasted in that Skylanders series.
...did you just imply Dragoon is a terrible game?
Indeed. A modern remake/reboot could be amazing.
The only things that really need an update are the overly-literal translation and some voice acting in the cutscenes. But this was back when video game voice acting didn't really have any kind of 100% Gold Standard so it's somewhat excusable in that context.
Story and gameplay are great though. And challenging. One of the most underrated JRPGs out there. I'd buy it again if I didn't already own it both physically and on PSN. lol
DID get Wild A...
Dunno about the Beta, but the Alpha had some single-player and multiplayer stuff. That said, I would expect the Beta to have such as well.
Project director said, among other reasons, that they wanted a more cinematic look and feel for the game.
I could get behind this... if part 1 was included to make it worth it, that is.
And this is why I'm trying to buy the crap outta VIta games. Next purchase I plan on making is Freedom Wars. Looks awesome and needs support. The more support, the more people will see demand for dedicated Vita titles and the more likely they'll be to be produced.
"It's more about how Vita can have multiple uses - with PS4 remote play, PS3 games with PS Now, and the dedicated games."
Sounds to me like they're still planning on making Vita exclusive games. Yoshida's been good for PS.
I actually don't, at least in that particular context.
I don't care how many games they make for that that MIGHT be put on the store for download to a Vita, those Mem Cards are still TOO EXPENSIVE and not big enough to handle an entirely digital library.
I'd have to shell out hundreds of dollars more on multiple 32+ GB cards and keep swapping them as well as keeping track of what's on them.
Physical releases are a must on the ...
PS4, dude.
This game is still completely unlike anything I've seen.
Gonna be amazing. And hopefully it'll influence other devs, even the bigger ones, in future games.
Again, I said it's called that. I didn't say it WAS that. Dude, don't be so defensive. I actually WANT Nintendo to get their act together again, I LIKE their games. Just not some of their decisions lately.
I'm not necessarily saying it is, I'm saying that's how people view it. Which really is a marketing and outreach issue.
The problem is that the Nintendo consumer won't support these new IPs they keep asking for when they come out, so sales numbers seem to indicate. It also doesn't help that many of these new IPs are pretty gimmicky and lack mass market appeal, or are really similar to existing IPs. Wonderful 101, for example, is constantly referred to as "Superhero Pikmin".
They need to find something big.
Every time I think the fanbase can't find more to nitpick, they show me exactly how much deeper they can reach. lol
On the topic at hand: The problem with that is everyone has their own ideas on how to "capture the essence of the series". Very rarely are people in agreement on how to go about that. Some want something like Super Dragon Ball Z, some want an adventure-style game, others want an RPG of sorts, it goes on.
I mean me personally, I wan...
Because the project head, Tameem, said Dante didn't look "Cool Enough" and "would be laughed at if he tried to get in a nightclub.
So he changed him to... look like himself. Not kidding.
