Not really. I was back in on PSN by that evening, downloaded the GoW collection to my Vita.
Only reason half the servers went down was precautionary anyways, as a DDoS can be used to mask a more malicious attack (or hacking attempt) as well.
So really... no.
Gonna have to disagree with you. Sleeping Dogs was pretty freakin' amazing.
You're kidding, right?
I've played the game on PS4 though, and there ARE lighting effects and lens flares at points.
That said, odd that the sun is allegedly in the "same position" yet the shadows are different. Different length, the shadows in the bottom right are almost gone... seems the sun is cloud covered in one pic and not in the other in that regard.
"All these people talking about how ND pushes graphics to their limits"
No, folks are saying ND pushes hardware to its limits to produce the absolute best possible from said hardware.
That being said, Tomb Raider is now restricted to a console with weaker hardware and is cross-gen to boot. If you think it'll look like a PC game on those... sorry man. Just seems you jumped at a shot to be a PC fanboy and ignore context.
Interesting.
Can't wait to give it a whirl.
>hacking
>DDoS attack
DDoS isn't hacking, it's overloading the server beyond capacity and bringing it down. They don't get inside the system at all. And it happens when there's normal heavy traffic too. XBL and PSN both had issues similar to this when the Destiny Beta launched because of the sheer volume of users trying to access at once.
Actually, it makes the point quite effective. Especially since the most common method of internet attack is how PS4 isn't "innovative" and is "dull" compared to the Xbone with the kinect and the Wii U and its gamepad.
And it points out WHY it still sells better.
I don't think anyone raging or "agreeing" here actually read this. lol
No, I think the pathetic ones would be the woman who cheated on her boyfriend with 5 men, her married boss and a Kotaku staff member included, to get her game made and promoted; also the people who defend those actions and act as if viewing her in a negative light are the only people in the wrong.
Those are the pathetic people, Phil.
The Order is locked at 30fps. Letterbox is meant to give it a cinematic feel.
Vanishing of Etha Carter was confirmed for PS4 at Gamescom, Routine has been discussed as probably coming to PS4 by the dev, A Hat In Time I believe is on the Wii U as well as possibly other consoles, DayZ was announced for PS4 as well, H1Z1 was always discussed in-dev as coming to PS4 too (the "announcement" recently was merely a formality) Gauntlet is pretty likely to hit consoles tbh and even Star Citizen may get a console version. Emphasis on MAY but it's still been discusse...
That's because it's digital content that will be available eventually for purchase on the Xbox.
This is not digital. This is physical and will NOT be available later. What, you think after a year they'll mail it to them?
@FanboyKilla
There's a difference. The "Exclusive Content" is timed. Others can buy it later.
There is no limited collector's edition coming out for the other platforms later. That's not an option. Can't wait it out.
Titles a tad misleading. Understandable why they're focusing on PS4 as well, but doesn't necessarily mean there'd nothing happening for the Vita either.
Best way you can get support though? Buy the games when they come out. Freedom Wars, for example. Coming out new for only $30 on top of looking like a pretty sweet game.
Why would they say a game that was a hidden trailer for Silent Hill would be exclusive at Gamescom? The whole point was to make the game seem odd and no big deal, a stealth announcement.
Sony's not keeping Destiny from the Xbox fans. Just Timed Exclusive DLC that they announced up front as timed exclusive DLC.
That comes with being in a market where they haven't had serious competition for years.
That follows them into the game market and this crap happens.
So you respect Phil for finally telling the truth when backed into a corner by backlash when he could have easily said it was "coming FIRST to Xbox"? Lord knows Sony was very clear on that Gamescom stage about what was and was not timed exclusive or just premiering there first.
As for Phil, I don't respect him. He's a frat boy with a wardrobe right outta the late 80s who just put a shinier coat of paint on the same old Xbox Division.
These tools were asking for it though. They were even trying to take pot shots and antagonize th3j35t3r for crying out loud.
