lmao they were still gonna shovel that out, probably in pieces. They were literally SHAMED into delaying it by the public. The move IS business.
Gosh, that sure sounds like someone was looking for an excuse to be a prick and not exercise self-control.
Cool
1. The Phone Providers pay for the cross-promo deal.
2. The skins are made especially for them and are typically nothing super fancy, just the company colors.
3. At least in the case of Verizon, it was part of a deal where they gave away limited numbers of Beta Access codes that also get you the full game for free when it launches. They use these rewards as an incentive to make customers feel the cost is worth it, as well as to tempt users of other services to jump ship.

lmao they did exactly this sort of thing in FFXV, then again in FF7R, and people still ate it up and even bought them cups of ramen and butterfingers to get those codes. People co-signed this practice already.
Kojima's team also has experience with PC ports from the Metal Gear days, and most of the folks at Guerrilla may not.
Because I heard of several games that are now on my radar which I otherwise would probably never have known about?
Seems to me that's reason enough to stream trailers on your channel.
Do you have any idea how many decades there are of Avengers comics with no Spider-Man?
No. Sony literally bought the film rights wholesale. Period. Marvel needed the money as they were fighting bankruptcy.
Sony sold BACK the merch rights to Marvel in 2011 as they needed cash too, and also felt it wise to give Marvel a vested interest in promoting the movies so as to see the merch money.
I do love the spin the article tries to put on it though.
"They totes did not address the rumors that XBL was gonna be free!" despite them saying XBL Gold, their paid service, ain't going away.
That's supposedly the only big aspect of it they're changing, according to insiders at least.
"I WANT SPIDER-MAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

She's a core character. She can't be exclusive.
Sony literally OWNS the film rights, fam. They hold the LICENSE for the games (to what extent? We don't know) but the film rights are legally theirs. Period.
@Bouzebbal
...the DualShock 2 didn't use USB, man.
Because there are still PS4 and PSVR things to talk about and they want to do that?
Because that's been public? Otherwise, why would Sony need Marvel Games' permission to make the game? Why would Sony not have made the games in-house and not Activision and their mess?
Plus, both Spider-Men, Peter and Miles, showed up in Ultimate Alliance 3, which was a Switch exclusive, and both were voiced by Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter respectively. Sony currently only has the license for solo Spidey games.
...you guys do know that Spider-Man was in Ultimate Alliance 3, right? A Switch exclusive? Complete with Nadji Jeter and Yuri Lowenthal as Miles and Peter?
Sony currently holds the solo games license, and they own the film rights, but they don't outright own the rights to the character in all mediums. Any deal in place for this would be separate.
...oof
Here, watch this and feel silly.
