This is the "E3" one... both your brain cells not working today?
I doubt they'll show Wolverine, we're a few months away from Spider-Man 2 and we still haven't seen gameplay.
Edit: remove the extra "not"
Honestly this article comes off as incredibly defensive regarding the Switch.
Yknow what's "accessible"? Being able to play your games at 30fps lol.
In addition, Steamdeck nor the ROG Ally are not attempting to compete against the Switch.
Didn't know Xbox's were portable.
It's crazy to me how over-rated Hellblade is, beyond the Mental Illness thing I just fail to understand how it's any better than say ... The Order: 1886. Both have great atmosphere and strong design elements but incredibly shallow and repetitive gameplay. However, compare the review scores and it just doesn't make sense to me.
I love how you had to bring up such a specific genre "Dark Fantasy" just to be able to convince yourself that Hellblade 2 is more anticipated than it is.
Either way I'm fairly certain Final Fantasy 16 can be considered "Dark Fantasy" and it's infinitely more anticipated than Hellblade can ever dream to be.
Hope they announce the Meta Quest 3!
Time was definitely the main factor here. Arkane Austin's last game was Prey which was a pretty great success, critically and reception amongst gamers. So we know they are capable of making great games.
Redfall was very ambitious from the get go, co-op AND open-world two firsts for Arkane. The amount of time allocated was not enough to bring this game up to standard.
At the end of the day Bethesda and Microsoft decides when these games release and his...
This is much much worse. Forspoken isn't even first-party and that specific studio doesn't have any reputation beyond FFXV which was decent at best.
This is Arkane's worst game out of the half dozen they released over the years. How did getting acquired by Microsoft LOWER the quality of their output?
You can't have the "best of both worlds" on PC. Sure, you're obviously covered on whatever's coming to Xbox. But let's not pretend for one second you're getting the same access to Playstation titles as a PS5 owner. Final Fantasy 16, Spider-Man 2, Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War: Ragnarok etc. by the time PC gets access to these titles, PS5 owners will be gearing up to play the sequels.
@Sonic1881
It would depend on the game...
Microsoft releases on PC because they NEED to. Historically their first party output has been paltry and left a lot to be desired. Microsoft has been focusing on gamepass and PC to appeal to shareholders and convince them that the Xbox brand is still profitable and otherwise.
Sony has been releasing on PC for completely different reasons. The first thing to realize is Sony could have not bothered releasing anything on PC and they would've still been fine, however they...
The ROG Ally will only be viable when Valve releases SteamOS for other devices, otherwise it's honestly no different than the Aya series.
You really need it spelled out for you? Microsoft drops exclusives on Xbox and PC day and date. Meaning there's no reason for a gamer to purchase an Xbox if they already own a capable PC, especially when you have a game like Starfield which will thrive off modding which only PC's can truly provide.
Sony are dropping exclusives on PC fairly strategically. Such as Horizon, God of War, and even Spider-Man prior to the release of their respective sequels. Sony isn't...
@BandarHub
Money-hatting" and buying out entire developers/publishers are nowhere near the same thing.
Sony co-funded SF5 with Capcom. They didn't buy Capcom.
Sony made deals for Final Fantasy, they didn't buy Square Enix. JRPGs don't do well on Xbox anyways.
Silent Hill and KOTOR are timed exclusives. Microsoft does the same thing.
Microsoft is buying out developers and publishers just to ri...
If I have access to "a game" via gamepass why would I also purchase a game I already have access to?
They have at least 3 teams but realistically probably more. They work on a lot of smaller, innovative projects, or even VR on the side. They already maintain two entirely separate studios as it stands.
I just wish there was an option to forego the 4K textures on Steam Deck...
I'm sure it will be more of a Final Fantasy game than FF15 could've dreamed to be.
