Not important in the slightest since nobody will need the next generation Xbox to play it.

Bungie didn't want to make Halo anymore. They had a 2 game contract before they could leave. ODST was supposed to be a Halo 3 expansion. Instead they spinned it as a full game to meet the requirements of the contract. The other game was Halo: Reach.

The original game was such a chore to play. The first battle and the last played out basically the same way. Idk why anyone praises Hellblade so much but then bashed on The Order 1886 for example.
Yep I'm still playing through Odyssey which I got with all DLC for $30~. Next year I'll pick up Valhalla with all DLC for a similar price.
Also inflation is a factor. $60 in 2006 is valued at $76~ today. So a price hike to $70 is more than warranted.

You're looking at it backwards. They're trying to support all future consoles. Meaning even if they drop support for the Xbox One for example you can still play all of the games on the Series X.
You can play all of Microsoft's exclusives that release in the first few years including Halo on your current Xbox.
Pretty easy decision to pick up a PS5 as you'll have a real reason to.
It'll never be as spectacular as we'd want it to be if it can run on the original Xbox.
So in essence no real next gen features or enhancements.

PS4 has plenty of games to play. Spider-man received 3 meaty DLC which included post story content.
