3DS and Vita are hardly portable when you have to carry the charger with you if you want to use it more than 2 hours
Used to love the DS2, but the DS3 was butchered with those god awful triggers...
But I do prefer the 360 controller over the Dualshock, the analog sticks just feel more natural to put your thumbs there rather than having crab hands using the DS2.
I never use the thumb pad to they can do what ever they want with it, no idea why people moan about it, if you want to play fighters then you pretty much need a joystick anyway.

The cost of everything has risen since previous generations even 5 years ago inflation has risen steadily.
I bought 'Gangsters' for the PC in 1998 brand new just after its release date and It cost £30 and all it came with was a game disk and a manual but with today's value of inflation it comes to £43 which is only a few £...

I also had a problem with my memory stick and they said I would have to sort it with Sony RMA, went to Morrisons and bought a 16gb card instead...
