I was really surprised to see these comments. They are actually intelligent and making great points. There is actual discussion going on without resorting to blatant fanboyism. I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed N4G'ers.
Keep it up!
any1 that disagrees is just a fanboy and is missing out because they choose to be stubborn or have some weird attachment to just one company even though they have NOTHING to gain from the company doing well.
grow up people, go play some games instead of arguing.
I highly doubt they will ever release blu-ray for 360, or even for the next xbox.
MS is much for focused on downloadable movies, games, etc than supporting blu-ray, which they suspect won't be along much longer anyway.
I personally feel that blu-ray will be obsolete in 2-3 years and downloading HD movies through netflix and other services will be standard.
Also, i'm gonna make a call here and say that the next generation xbox will be DISC FREE for next g...
the ps3 version clearly has more pixels on-screen at once, plus, the physics on the ball are WAAAAY better. typical fanboy rubbish.
....the arcade games Geometry Wars 2, Portal 2, and Galaga Sequel.
portal 2 is gonna rule!
@chasuk08 - as far as i know, these will not be manditory installs. it sounds like it's literally copying the disc to the HD, so the Xbox 360 will only read the disc to verify that it is in the system. totally different from some PS3 games requiring 4GB installs.
would be really cool if you didn't need the disc in the system to play the games off the HD, kinda like an old hacked XBOX worked, the problem is, i don't know how that would work with the whole sharing a game proble...
you put in to words exactly what i was thinking. not to poo poo the ps3, i'm excited for the update and all, it's always been wait and see, it will catch up.
all this analysis is stupid, you can't predict what will happen. especially that most consumers don't pay attention to gaming news or n4g or other websites, they buy what they think is cool or what their friends are playing. stop acting like you posting is gonna change any of that. lol.
ps downloading Stardus...
but i'm excited because this will give me a reason to replay Uncharted, Ratchet, and a few other games with the Dual Shock 3. I've been meaning to replay those games for a while now, and this might finally give me a reason to actually do it.
although, i can see why some people would be annoyed, if i spent 60+ hours 100% a game and had to do it again, i don't know if i could.
@HungPHAT
true that, we need more of you kind around here, would be a much better site.
unfortunately, it looks like owning both systems means you will be disagreed with on this site. how do you disagree with some1 saying they enjoy all of their consoles? wow n4g, wow
this is the reason why we should be glad that both PS3 and Xbox360 are around and competing with each other. If not for the Xbox360 and it's in game menu and achievements, this update would not be coming out. When the Playstation 3 first came out, Sony was very arrogant and thought they would be able to sell there system strictly based on brand name appeal. They were proven wrong and it has led to all these updates that have made the PS3 the console that it is today. Competition is what lea...
I can't believe more people aren't excited about this. I don't care if it's for Wii, PS3 or 360, the fact that more people aren't excited proves to me that most people on this site are 12 year olds. For me, this brings back childhood memories of playing mega man on the NES. It's a NEW MEGA MAN with 8 BIT GRAPHICS SON!!!!! doesn't get much better than this. I can't decide if I want the music to sound like it did in the 8-bit era or to be more modern. i'm leaning towards the latter.
....aside from the rest of your post not making sense, whats a debbie downer? i'm really curious, not being sarcastic
i think you forgot where u are posting...this is still n4g.
this is the same bunch of people that a few months ago "didn't need an in-game xmb" lol
it'll come when it comes, will be sweet when it does, took long enough though.
it is a fact that the game is mostly cutscenes, to get the Big Boss trophy, you have to beat it under 4 hours (i believe), so the game is MORE than half cutscenes. is that bad? no, but thats all this guy was saying. jeeeeez, some people need to REEELAX and people have different opinions, dang.
really really crazy people, lol
insane flamewar. of course he doesn't want Gears 2 to be like MGS4, its all about action, MGS4 is about story. your not going to see an incredibly deep story in Gears 2, of course, that's not the type of game it is.
I don't know why this comment is taken negatively. Actually, i do, fanboys, lol (this is n4g afterall). Awsome game, but when you look at it objectively, it is more a movie than it is a game. If you skip all the cutscenes, it's only about 4 hours long, or less. ...
at the part where you face like tons of enemies at once? ya, the frame rate nearly comes to a stand still, that part was really annoying. i can't believe they didn't fix that in the final build of the game. one of those things that makes you wonder, "what were they thinking?"
but the creator has way to high of an opinion about himself, and it's not the best game i've played recently. they fixed a lot of the annoying things that were in NG1, but overall, it was still just hack and slash, it's fun one time through, but nothing too memorable. a pretty fair score in my opinion.
sorry to comment again, but this is probably one of the dumbest comments i have seen on this site in a long time, do us a favor and leave, please.
in game xmb 2 years later? (that still doesn't work properly, games need updated for in game music, etc)
no headset included? (so that even if you have a headset yourself, nobody else does)
trophies added 2 years later so that only a few games support them?
hmmmm.....seems like xbox isn't the only system that "should have been made properly in the first place"
lol, sorry just had to bring these points up, anyway, way to go Microsoft, thanks for ...
