@dcbronco
BF3 on PC on average has aboot 30000 players, the consoles each respectively double that number (take with huge grain of salt).
http://bf3stats.com/ says Global stats are at 18000 for PC, 37000 for PS3, and 31000 for Xbox 360 (As of right now, I do believe).
Those numbers aren't too great (do consider that it's night time in half the world right now, so again, grain of salt). ...
I'm curious about how much flak they're catching for changing voice actors so much. Just look at Splinter Cell: Blacklist, they got rid of Michael Ironside and the community had a mini rebellion.
They're antsy? It could be that the new voice actors are cheaper, or even better skilled and more expensive. My money's on cheaper.
FPS games can go the route of Bioshock and innovate the genre, but so far, other than a few gems and rarities, that isn't happening. Absolutely cannot wait for Bioshock Infinite though.
****, my bad. Updated now, I blame the high difficulty curve of copy/paste.
Yeah, it's not every day that a company that holds such sway on gaming is offered up to be bought.
The creaking floor boards that inevitably fall and the way the dev described the reasoning behind it, was genius.
Oooooh, my bad :P That would be breaking the fourth wall, and that rarely works, ever. Most of the time that's an absolute negative. Apparently Lone Survivor did that and it worked well. But that's a rarity. Otherwise, I simply don't like it, ruins the immersion.
It's a very mature anime, I like it a lot. Currently trying to finish it.
Bioshock's entire civilization, Rapture, is built up around either bashing/ misinterpreting /blatantly disregarding religious concepts. (No spoilers, fear not) Think about the cosmetic surgeries that were performed to beautify, when according to the Bible, God made you the way you are and you should love that. Then there are the tonics that gave you powers. At that point the game was literally c...
I agree, however, even preaching in games has its place so as to prove a point. I'm not sure what point because that's up to the dev. Within the first few episodes of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, there was an episode about all out preaching (aboot God). It worked wonderfully to give the viewer a very deep perspective on the main characters. Strong events give strong feedback. I know that FMA:B is an anime, and that it's not a game or anything, but I still find it to be a gre...
I hope they make it a similar concept to DayZ (except for the fast running zombies).
@CS
You're right, it's not really news. It's more an insight into a part of the Call of Duty community, gaming culture, and how things like this are viewed by (primarily) gamers.
I figured, wasn't entirely sure though since the MW3 mic symbol was there anyways.
I'm sometimes dumbfounded as to how some users can disagree with a certain comment of mine that seemed undisagreeable. What's worse, I'll never learn why they disagreed, so I'm just left permanently curious.
That's true. He really should try the wonderful games he's bashing. He should watch Indie Game: The Movie, if he hasn't already, that might open his eyes.
I would really like to pick up a good space combat game :P
Lol, you can have it. They really don't look all too similar, and I figured 343 wouldn't lie, there's no point. So the only other options were either they operate similarly, or they operate similarly.
Maybe they meant more in the way they operate than in how they look?
I read that Kevin Butler might make that list too.
"The only key difference between the two is the single-player, and who buys a Battlefield game for that anyway?"
This is a crap excuse for terrible story-telling in FPS games. I actually enjoyed the stories of the Bad Company series. They dropped the ball with BF3's story.
I just want Battlefield 4, a main entry, to have more time to squash the problems that BF3 had on arrival and even now. I'd like BC3 for the destruction and the story, pri...
