Tried the demo.
Almost cried at how terrible it was.
The only thing good about it was the use of material from the show.
Am I diehard Voltron fan, still have mine up on my bookshelf and I won't spend the money on this garbage game.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, just like several others have said.
This system officially killed my interest in anything from Nintendo since I didn't want to only play rehashed Mario and Zelda games over and over and over again on everything they put out. I have no idea how people can keep buying the stuff they make since all they're doing is adding a new coat of paint and giving the characters a few new things to do and Wham!, brand new game in their eyes.
You kno...
I've been sort of power-gaming this since FTP. It's honestly a ton of fun, much more than I thought it would be. LVL 28 Villian.
I'm one of those new players and the F2P model is already working its magic on me. I've already hit the $1500 gold limit and already have 2 characters I've created and tried out, one PVP and one PVE, and I can honestly say I will either be buying the Green Lantern DLC to upgrade to premium, or just flat out go Legendary. A lot more fun than I thought it would be.
I am one of those. Downloaded it for both PS3 and PC since, why not it's free?
Just played it today for a couple hours. Very fun. Will probably drop some money into it once I start feeling the pinch of inventory and money constraints. Will probably buy the Green Lantern pack since I'd get that plus the inventory increase I believe.
Agree totally though that it's not worth $15 a month, though for me, no game is worth $15 a month.
Wow, they're still trying to compare the two games in these head to head competitions? They're both completely different games. The only true comparison is that they're in the third person perspective.
This game was meant to be FTP from the start. It wasn't until the last minute that the higher ups decided to charge. I was ready and on board to buy the game until they announced it was no longer FTP. Now, I'll be playing it free of charge.
So how could it be a failure if the smartest men in the room killed its original business plan and tried to charge? It's just those people's failure. When I watched the interview with the producer for DCUO as he talked...
Still one of the best animated series ever, and unquestioned as the best comic book animated series ever. Even after watching the Dark Knight, I still think Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is the best Batman movie ever made. Bruce Wayne's crushing dilemma of choosing the woman he loves or pursuing the life of the Batman because of a vow he made his murderered parents made the entire storyline so real and so dire for Batman. I still haven't seen it done any better. Dark Knight came cl...
Hahahahaha . . .as I think of Mark Hamill's Joker laugh.
Best Joker ever. Could be over-the-top theatrical one minute and insane killer the next all with a smile. Best Joker laugh too. While I'm at it, Kevin Conroy is the best Batman ever and the only one that mastered the change from Bruce Wayne voice to Batman, not like that terrible growl Bale does when he's Batman.
If this is indeed his last work as Joker, Mark Hamill will be missed. My goodness, just thinking about that terrible Joker voice from the Under the Red ...
I hated this when it first came out too. Bought it, played it for an hour, then took it back to Electronics Boutique and exchanged it for something else (it's old'school gamers like me that played and beat a game in 7 days or under that had them change their return policy to nothing if unopened).
Never touched Grand Theft Auto over the last decade. I just bought the complete pack off Gamersgate for $12.49 for PC. I'm coming late to the party after having visite...
What they should do if they still want to give fans some taste of the movies they make is add DLC or quests into DC Universe Online. They sort of did this with releasing the Green Lantern pack a few months after the movie, but if they worked harder to get it closer to the release of the movies, I think they could have their cake and eat it too with movie tie-ins.
I really didn't see or feel any hype for this game. Resistance 2 was such a turd compared to the first one, I personally didn't care less about R3. It looked like they overhauled the graphics compared to R2, but I've never been a graphics persons, so oh well.
The only thing I'd add to this is that these number only count the retail copy of the game. What it's not counting is the number of Sharpshooter packs that came bundled with the game. All the medi...
I'm actually compiling a database of game reviews right now to try and open up my own website in the next 6 months specifically because of this. I'm a writer. Problem with being a writer is it's insanely difficult to get jobs in it. I've found job ads for video game reviewers where right in the ad, they say,
"You don't need to even play the game, just go on other websites, read their reviews, and write your own from that."
As ...
Probably. I mean, I know any game on digital distribution sites like Steam get more royalties than from retail releases, but not if a gamer like me waits for the type of deals I mentioned.
I'm a cheap gamer, what can I say. But I don't hog up server space or time since I never play a game early enough when everyone is online, and I don't play it right away when people would demand patches to fix problems. When I'm playing the game, the company is giving me ...
That sucks, I wanted to pick this up on a Steam sale for $7.50 after it'd been out for a year or two.
Man, way too many game genres out there.
JRPG: Xenogears. What a perfect blending of philosophy and religion wrapped up in an intersting sci-fi setting. Awesome. I've got this on disc still, but I'm still contemplating if I want to drop another 70 hours if I get the PSOne classic so I can play on my PSP widescreen and not small screen through remote play.
Action/Adventure: Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver. What a perfect revenge story with the gameplay ...
Wow Square Enix back at it again. How can they justify a PSOne game for $9.99, that was actually a SNES game remastered for PSOne, when five PS2 games were just released for the same price?
And freaking hell why am I even considering getting it!
Odin Sphere has absolutely beautiful graphics and actually has really good voice acting. Game is kind of hard though, and requires some grinding through the same levels in order to get stronger. I got about halfway before my 60gb PS3 YLOD, so this is also tempting me to jump back in.
Considering I needed a new computer anyway, the increase in expenditure to get more/faster ram along with a video card, was really minimal. Then as others have said, add in Steam games for dirt cheap and a much faster drop in price for newer games and PC gaming is much cheaper than console gaming.
The last time I actually went out and bought new games for my PS3, I bought Killzone 2, Valkyria Chronicle and Street Fighter IV. I spent almost $200 on 3 games alone. Two days ...
