I knew the controller would feel awkward, that sucks that the display cant be shut off while playing on TV
WOW comment sections are fun. It's only a little news piece informing PPL that they will still need there Wiimotes for all Wii titles. Also there is nothing wrong with wanting the new gamepad to work with the old Wii games ( i do )
I don't like how Nintendo does backwards comp, but its the same as it was on Wii for playing game cube games. You had to boot into game cube mode to play GC games and all Wii functionality was turned off because you were basically playing a game cube.
@ AsimLeonheart Your right and hacking did not hurt Wii sales either, it was hacked within the first year.

Ok so the GPU is 4 years old and the CPU is 3 cores not 4 as otheres would have you believe, another thing not stated in that article ( from Shin) is the CPU and GPU are on one board, I did have the link with pics, it was released by nintendo so check there site.Its under Iwata ask. Ya but Nintendo promised strong 3rd party support on Wii and it was not there, I do hope they have it this time but I'm not holding my breath.
Its low latency and fast response time because the image is being streamed to the gamepad screen, the game is still being played on the console, the gamepad is only handling receiving a image.

I agree completely. Sadly Nintendo already stated that they see no need for Facebook, twitter or any other social media inclusion. I think they see there miiverse as the social hub and want there audience kept in that social world. If they change there mind later then great but Im not holding my breath.
The number of cores has not been confirmed yet, it could only be one?? But im not hating, just saying. Im with Sidar i will get a Wii U anyway but i still wanted Nintendo to do good, have a comparable console and really strong third party support. We will all know in 2 years if The Wii U will hold up or suffer having no third party AAA titles like the Wii.Till then I guess I'll cross my fingers :)

you might have a point but Wii still failed on 3rd party support and it was a top selling console so my point stands. Also Sony was established, Xbox was new so ya of course PS2 had much more support Xbox was an unknown at the time and had no established fan base. Nintendo has a hugh fan base and 3rd party didnt support the Wii. Now why is that??? I wonder???
