The XMB made its debut in 2003, in the PSX.
Given that you seemed to think that Sony only added the XMB after Microsoft added the dashboard, as the PS3 came out later, now that you've been corrected... does that not suggest that Microsoft added the dashboard because Sony had the XMB? :-S

No, I doubt he means that, but I have my PS3 on ALL THE TIME. I can't remember the last time it was off. If I were to buy a Blu-Ray player, the extra 25 watts would total more than JUST my PS3 at THE TIMES THAT I WANTED TO WATCH A MOVIE. The reason I'd not leave my Blu-Ray player on all the time is that it would not do anything useful when I'm not using it.
