I roffled
I've not signed on here in ages, but I just HAD to for this. *LOL*
The reason that President Obama refers to XBoxes and NOT PS3s or Wiis, is because - get this - HE HAS A 360! Ha ha.
G4TV. Epic fail...
Maybe it is a second. But consider how many web pages you open each day.
I'd open at least 150 a day, maybe even three hundred at the weekends. And if each time I load up a page, Chrome does it 1 second quicker... that's five minutes.
Might not seem like a lot, but over a year of usage at that level, that's almost 20 hours lost.
Please everybody remove this moron's bubbles.
I would pay a f.|_|.(.|<.load for something like that.
Roll on the Twenty-Tens!
EACH GPU has 4GB of RAM.
As far as *I* know, there are no 4GB GeForce cards.
If you find one, please send it my way.
Could someone buy one and run a few benchmarks please?
I'd like to see how many FPS you could get on Crysis with 16GB VRAM xD
1) The article requires no apostrophe in "it's"
2) Mr. Jhawk, you have used the incorrect "There"/"They'r e"/"Their" there. It should be "They're" there. There.
Lol, from the disagrees, I'd say YOU got Krateowned :-P
*SPOILARZZZZZ!!!!11ELEVEN*
You just got served.
The £1000 965 (3.2GHz) pwns the £1500 QX9770, also 3.2GHz.
I got an i7 920 (2.66GHz) for £250, and it's currently overclocked to 3.8GHZ. It is incredible! It's so easy to overclock, and this thing is going to last me for years.
It is well worth it, trust me.
@1.24
You moron!
The failure rate is based on MILLION of consoles. The larger the study, the more probable it is to be correct, relevant, reliable, accurate and statistically significant.
You know of 6 PS3s. Two just so happen to have broken, so you quote a 33% failure rate.
If you were the ONLY person you knew of who owned a PS3, and it broke, would assume a 100% failure rate? Of course not, that'd be stupid.
Maybe in your tiny, in...
@3.1
That's what this whole article is about numbnuts!
And if Sony are losing so much money (100 billion I think you'll find), then advertising (which, usually, increases sales) would be a good way to go about making up for it.
@1.7 (Marquis)
I calculate "over 18 months" since September 25 2007 to be a date later than March 25 2009.
Soo... um... sit down!
Maybe you should use your toes to count next time.
@NewZealander
It's not really odd in the slightest.
You mention 5 XBox 360s. If you were EXPECTING this to have happened to at least one of them. i.e. 1 in 5 i.e. 20%
I'm not sure even the 360 has a 20% failure rate. Then again, I guess I could be wrong.
"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was a PlayStation 3 exclusive and, against all the odds, continues to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive nearly a year after its release."
Apparently, less than 7 months is "nearly a year"...
Except Mangina_of_the_year, you n0bhead, he was being witty as he was simply recycling figures YOU produced. Humour is quite often not quite based on reality.
But nice job pointing out that the RROD problem is a bigger one that we thought ;-)
Real slick there, Holmes!
Lol, I think you mean "scarred". :-P
That's freaky...
I just watched that film last night, and the bathroom scene was $#!+ scary.
And now... your avatar!!! Ah, Gomer Pyle's coming to get me!!! :'-(
To be honest, I thought that it was a bad article too.
Not in its topic, but in its content and presentation.
There was very little substance to it:
People might think that the PS3 is being cancelled as it didn't sell as well as last year.
People might think that the PS3 is being cancelled as it isn't being advertised well.
And I felt it was written very poorly; it sounded like a 15 year old wrote it.
P.S. Slightly ironic, as I just...
Someone doesn't understand statistics...
