Sony provides me with a service that I enjoy, that I can share with my family and friends, they offer this service and I take them up on their offer with the belief that it will be safe and secure, and that the people who would ruin my fun will be dealt with. No one is telling you that you cannot paint pink daisies on your console. Sony has not had a problem with anyone changing the hard drive. You did not purchase the software, let me say that again. YOU DID NOT PURCHASE THE SOFTWARE that makes the console work, you agreed to a license to use the software included with the console and you damn well know it.

I hope that Sony finds a way to Brick every freaking console that uses this junk. This is so typical of this generation. Keep your little jailbreak junk, keep your cross game chat. I like my PS3 just the way it is and if Sony continues to improve on this dynamo, I will be ready and waiting, but to tamper with the device in an effort to pirate crap is weak.

In 2005, Sony released a PS2 game for the Eye Toy called "Kinect", it was in conjunction with Nike motionworks. It was a excercise game that worked with the camera and let the players image appear on the screen while working out.
There was even a sequel called Kinect Combat.

The PS2 Eyetoy could do it. In 2004, Harmonix released a game called AntiGrav. The player controlled the movements of the character on the screen with the movements of his own body. You can still play the game on a backward compatible unit

The PS3 Eyetoy can indeed do Voice Recognition as displayed in the game Singstar, infact it could recognize 20 different lanuages.
I see that I got a disagree and that is fine, but I hope the person who disagreed had the stones to watch the video first. It is less than 5 minutes long and shows how innovative kinect is. Take a look and then you can make a knowledgable decision on your disagreement.

I would believe the people with the real numbers, both before and after the launch.
Lets see, 1 million in the states, 1.5 million in Europe, considering that the 360 is supposed to have a 2:1 average over the PS3 in the states, any rational person would expect the 360 to sell more of its new toy, but it hasn't yet.
The MS numbers for Kinect are World Wide numbers and include its home country, but the Move numbers don't reflect its home country numb...

Look, Kinect will sell a crap load of units in N/A, of this there should be no doubt, I fully expect millions, but I also expect The Move to continue selling well also. After the Kotaku fiasco, I find it hard to believe anyone. This game has looked really good on every other showing and then this? I wonder. We don't know if it was calibrated properly and this guys is just flailing about wildly. Maybe it's legit, but I think I will believe all of the other times I have seen this games displayed over this one.
If each of them have their own story that ends up converging into one massive story. Each of them using their own unique abilities to complete the mission. Yep could be fun.
The PS3 does have backwards compatibility, you can play your PS1 games on any of them. You were a kid or a cheap bastard and now have to deal with it.
If you wanted backwards compatibility, you should have been an early adopter like me. All you and the others like you do, is complain and whine "I want, I want, I desreve, I should have". What you should have done was buy a console when it first came out.
The top screen of a 3DS is only 3.5 inches, why would I want to play a game that small when I have a 50 inch HD TV. If you are off center by half an inch you lose the 3D effect. I'm an old bloke, I haven't watched a 3D movie in decades and I'm really not that interested in it now, but I know that 3.5 inches is just sad. IMO ofcourse.
