@ Battletorn, please describe these "great games"? Most are bite sized, casual fare because of the very nature of the touch controls. The same thing happens with any motion based or touch based hardware.

We're all victims of hackers, if you own a PS3 of course. The removal of the otherOS feature was the first step towards preventing them from blowing the system open, the only reason why it never happened was because they didn't have the code taken from those USB dongles.

That Travis guy is clearly a douche just asking for a spanking. Why even bother with an issue if you don't even care enough to own the system? Does anyone even care or fully realize the implications such a hack could do if it were allowed to spread rampant? If this kind of hack happened to all three consoles at the same time the game industry would be in a very, very bad situation.

The thing is, Sony owns all of their first and second party studios. They therefore own their IPs. The difference between the exclusives seen on the 360 and or PC is that Microsoft doesn't own any of those studios, they only own the publishing rights. A new entry could easily be seen on multiple consoles, much like how Insomniac games signed that multiplatform deal with (EA, I think?) for a new game, while their previous IPs (that Sony owns the publishing rights to) stay on the PS3.
I love how the contributor titled it ".. as powerful as PS3" only, when the article clearly compares it to both the PS3 and 360. The posting of this article was purely to incite something bad, while the original article is purely about the tech of the smartphone's GPU itself. The contributor is clearly biased while the original article is not, plain and simple :P
Buy her a PS3, at least that won't overheat and burn her house down :P It's a sign from the gaming gods that she should move to the next and true level of next-gen gaming.

Cords and wires everywhere and buried in the middle is the poor ps3 running nonstop all day for the entire convention with a test build of Twisted Metal, so wtf do you expect? This was probably the same damn thing.

It's really sad that it's not for the home consoles, I'm going to be gnashing my teeth with all these awesome titles that SHOULD be on home consoles but since the Wii is basically an abandoned ship at this point everyone is jumping onto the 3DS bandwagon. Hopefully the PSP2 has a beefy launch roster or good developer support or Sony has a very, very hard chance at all of competing with the 3DS.
But not everyone has broadband, or a fast connection for that matter. A huge chunk of the gaming population can't afford or doesn't like the thought of complete digital games. I think it's a great option, it helps cut out distribution costs and such but there's always that fear of something bad happening and you lose everything, only to have to download it again.

That comment was mostly to make fun of people who actually try for stuff like that in shooters.. I just play them for fun :P
This will give it's owners a HUGE advantage over others in any game, most especially shooters. Think about it, instead of the analog sticks you just have your mouse to whip the camera around, the movement is so much faster, most especially in Killzone 2.

Like others have said are extremely opinionated and have no real data to prove it. God of War III is easily my favorite in the series although I loved them all, people who don't enjoy them or call them overrated simply don't understand what Kratos is all about.
