Apparently that price is wrong on the store, it's actually supposed to be CHEAPER than that! Haha... Lots of people commenting on it on the blog.

Welcome to our world. lol! In Europe we often have to suffer in silence as stuff is released on the US store and then either doesn't ever appear or months later on the EU store.

It sucks, so I feel your pain.

I love this build up to a new game I'm so excited to get in my hands. It's almost like waiting for Christmas haha.

It always feels bizarre when you finally have the game in your hands too; almost surreal. Can it be? November is FINALLY here?! I actually have Uncharted 3 in my hands and I can go play it now?! (I wish!)

I remember feeling a bit giddy when I got Uncharted 2 that morning it was released. Can't wait to experience it all again. Can...

I would love to see an open world RPG. I love the cities in the Assassin's Creed series particularly. They always feel like 'real' cities. There are hundreds of people standing in groups chatting, buying from stalls, riding past on horses or just walking the streets. Then you have the guards who patrol or stand guard and get pissy with you and push you over if you bump into them. You got the criers who draw the crowds, and if you've been causing trouble they'll warn th...

If that was true we'd have a new console generation every 1-2 years. Hardware ultimately isn't what is important to gamers - games are.

Don't let the hype contest that is E3 raise your expectations of Microsoft above and beyond what is realistically feasible. So they didn't 'win' E3 2011. Big deal? Doesn't suddenly mean they are irrelevant.

This is likely untrue.

Microsoft's new hardware has already been released - yes, I mean the Kinect. Since it has been so successful sales-wise, I suspect they will coast on that for a couple more years. A 5 year lifespan for a console generation is pretty dire especially considering the impact recession has had globally; these companies are better off stretching this gen as much as they can. I wouldn't expect to see the beginning of a new console generation until 2...

That question was put to BioWare in an interview during E3 and they fumbled a bit and finally admitted yes, it could be implemented through a headset too, but that somehow doing it via Kinect was just a nicer experience since no intrusive headgear would be required. Riiiiight.

It made me wonder if this feature might then end up on other platforms since you can do voice recognition through the Playstation Eye as it has a mic too, and any PC gamer worth their salt has a headse...

Who are you trying to convince? Very few people have mentioned the PS3 in their replies, the truth of the matter is that Kinect isn't aimed at the core gamer and never was. Did you not see the Microsoft E3 conference?

They're simply trying to muscle in on the Wii market share - the family gaming market is huge and Microsoft want some of that pie; that is why Kinect exists.

Core gamers who own X360's are feeling the squeeze and voicing their diss...

I agree completely. The game was definitely a disappointment in comparison to DAO, but in of itself it wasn't 'terrible'.

I remember really enjoying playing it the first time around, and only really being bothered by 1. the crazy amount of game breaking bugs and 2. the repeating environments. It's very much a 'seen one cave; seen them all' scenario and that broke the immersion terribly as well as making it feel incredibly rushed and a bit of a cash i...

I remember reading back then that apparently Nintendo were interested too, but Sony put a better offer on the table - much greater creative freedom being the primary reason.

Again, as much as we all like to bash the big three as giant money monsters, it's one thing that Sony has got right above their rivals this gen - the respectful treatment of development studios.

@Disccordia

Well of course, every developer would rather maintain control of their own IPs! That's hardly rocket science. The reason Insomniac specifically want control of their IPs, however, is unlikely due to mistreatment from Sony; hence why they remain partners with them and generally have nothing but good things to say about them - they even said Sony were supportive and understanding of their choice to go multi-platform - now that's definitely the hallmark of ...

I never said it was on par with Bayonetta, I said it was a fun game. My experience playing it backs ME up on this. ;)

Why would Sony take the LBP IP give it to another developer and fire everyone at Media Molecule? This is Sony, not Activision.

Sony have a really good track record for being incredibly flexible and accommodating to their first party studios - affording them a lot of creative freedom and generally not interfering with how their run their studios. Interview after interview with these different studios testifies to this, as well as the quality of the games.

It's nice seeing all the little tweaks here and there; especially Marlowe's hair. I remember that looking particularly 'off' in the original video, so it was good to see they fixed that this time around.

Can't wait to see further improvements as they start to wind down - methinks they are in the 'polish to a mirror shine' stage of development right now.

Does anyone have any idea what the Japanese fans have been saying about these changes? I'm guessing they are just as unimpressed.

For me personally, I am not too worried about the gameplay because Heavenly Sword was a lot of fun, so I know Ninja Theory can do fast-paced hack n' slash titles well. The character redesign is tolerable, but definitely not ideal.

The thing that worries me is where they are going to go with the story. This is where Ninja...

Yeah they get old real fast. It was a tolerable article until I got to the part about how girls might not be able to follow the combat in Dragon Age... that's just... wow. Being a girl has nothing to do with whether or not you can or can't play games or if you pick it up quick or not. The sooner these idiots who shovel this drivel for hits understand that the better.

Don't forget that there is 2 ways to say the number '4' in Japanese; you are thinking of 'shi' which is one way of saying the number 4 and famously also means 'death' but as any first year Japanese student can tell you, 4 can also be said as 'yon'. Problem solved.

Also, you have to remember that even in Japan they use English when referring to Playstation.

Playstation 2 was 'puresuteshion tsu' and Playstation 3 i...

If it is true, then I suspect Rising is going to turn out to be some sort of bastard child of Vanquish.

For some reason I couldn't help but imagine that Kojima wasn't getting what he wanted from his team for a game like Rising and then he sat down to play Vanquish one day and was like.... 'shit, someone beat me to it!'
