This is like Valkyria Chronicles all over again. :(
Vanquish deserves a mention on this list too I reckon!
Sony have some sort of exclusive marketing deal when it comes to the Assassin's Creed franchise and has done since AC2. All the TV trailers for it etc promote the PS3 version. It's the same kind of deal a lot of publishers make with Microsoft - I don't think anyone will honestly deny that when you see a AAA title advertised on TV it's usually followed by the Xbox logo.
So that's quite a catch for Sony, to have this exclusive deal with Ubisoft on not just...
No Burning Rangers? Tut tut tut.
I think assuming it's a PC remake is a looking at it too simply. If this actually is a signal of a game in the works then I suspect the "PC" part is a subtitle of sorts.
Perhaps this is another spin off title like Crisis Core or Dirge of Cerberus, or perhaps it really is a FFVII remake but some sort of portable or expanded version of the game with some random subtitle to differentiate it.
Heck, if I worked for Square-Enix I'd register rando...
I thought a lot of the comments on Kotaku were shockingly sociopathic; showing little to no empathy for the woman involved.
Apparently attempting suicide means you deserve to die for being weak and that pain only qualifies as genuine 'pain' if there's no one out there worse off than you - you gotta be living under a genocidal dictator in an impoverished third world country otherwise you're just a big baby who needs to 'man up'. It's that 'ther...
Personally I'd love to see a bit more of Britain in games. I have always found it strange that the developers of the Grand Theft Auto series are British, yet all their games are set in the US. London gangsters are pretty rough around the edges, it would be fun to see a London-based or heck even Glasgow-based GTA in modern day.
I'd also love to see Victorian London in a game. Perhaps a Heavy Rain or LA Noire-style game surrounding a murder mystery - perhaps with som...
Just a heads up since I see people throwing around this phrase "clinical depression" and using it incorrectly in every instance...
Clinical depression refers to depression caused by physiological dysfunction in the brain - dopamine neurotransmitters not firing correctly is usually the cause. Clinical depression is not a term used to denote someone who has been diagnosed by a doctor or psychiatrist with depression.
The other more common form of dep...
By better you mean minute graphical differences that normal sane people who don't squint at super blown up HD side-by-side screenshot comparisons wouldn't even notice?
Very rarely do the graphical differences in multiplats result in a different gaming experience or any reduced enjoyment for the player; that's the only "fact" worth knowing. The people at Digital Foundry and Lens of Truth would almost certainly agree with that too.

As wonderful an example of humanity you are :P I would warn you of the hazards of over generalisation. Some children can be upset and disturbed by violent images no matter what the medium and exposing children to them for entertainment or otherwise is not an especially intelligent idea, even if many who were exposed turned out just fine; it's not a guarantee.
It's only illegal to buy an 18-rated game if you are under 18, it is not illegal to play an 18 rated game under age, and it is also not illegal to buy an 18-rated game and then give it to someone under age.
Although I agree, a well placed comment from the judge to the mother regarding her lack of judgement when buying a game like that for her 13 year-old son would be appropriate.
Ah an article positing an opinion as fact - ignore, move on.
They will never do away with the XMB on PS3 because it would render all the current themes available for it unusable and many of them are paid themes. Unless they update all paid-for themes to run on the new UI, I really can't see them making that move.
Best you can hope for is a new UI for PS4.
@SilentNegotiator
I bet Gabe is pretty embarrassed by that quote now. When you look at Valve developed games over the past few years they are all graphically 'middle of the road'. They were also pretty set in their PC ways - they didn't want to learn how to develop for new technology, they just wanted to stick to what they knew and not have to challenge themselves because that would cost too much time and effort whereas the X360 is pretty much a PC in a console ...
Being completely honest I would like cross-game chat on PS3 so reading this - while entirely unsurprising as others had pointed it out long ago - is still rather disappointing and a definite loss for PS3 gamers.
On the other hand, I've coped very well without it by simply supplementing my PS3 play with Skype. I chat with a group of friends on Skype while playing all the time, so I don't particularly feel I am losing out. For any PS3 owners looking for an alternative...
The song is called 'ICO - You Were There' and is sung by Steven Geraghty. It's the end credit song for Ico and is on the Ico soundtrack 'Melody in the Mist'.
Great song... really fits the mood of the game.
@MarkusMcNugen
I do not claim that there is no difference between the way the male and female brain works - I simply take issue with the broad sweeping generalisation that men are universally better than women at gaming when put on equal standing.
That I am aware of, there is no research proving that men are generally superior at video games than women. I mean, did you even read the CNN article you keep linking? The final paragraph on page 2 states:

There's a great video by the Extra Credits guys over on The Escapist which I think you'll find interesting; it broaches this very topic of labelling oneself as a 'gamer' and the negative impact that has.
http://www.escapistmagazine...
Your girlfriend isn't representative of female gamers. Your whole spiel about hissy fits and temper tantrums because of losing is obviously anecdotal of your experiences with your girlfriend but to suggest that is in any way going to represent the majority of female gamers just demonstrates your capacity to generalise based on very little experience of 40% of the gaming public. Yep, shocker... 40% of gamers are in fact, female.
To be honest, I'm really getting tired...
Sometimes it hurts more when that moment DOES happen...
