Maybe CDPR simply bit off more than they could chew? Fresh from the success and praise of The Witcher 3, they took on a project with the goal of making an RPG that would challenge and possibly surpass GTAV and RDR2 from Rockstar Games. If they had managed to release Cyberpunk 2077 with all of the promised features and it ran well on all platforms, then things would be quite different in the videogame community right now.
My unrealistic expectations were for a game based on the Cyberpunk universe with the various features CDPR has talked about prior to Keanu being onbooard and the change in direction. I'm sure it would have been possible to include all of the features that were taken out, but it would likely have required more time and perhaps more talent to have pulled it off. As for the PS4 and XBOX One, if RDR2 is possible, then this game should have also been possible. The poor state of the game on las...
WTF did I just read?
In a parallel world to our own, there is a Cyberpunk 2077 video game with everything CDPR promised, and it runs very well on all platforms.
Kojima certainly gets around.
Do the life paths actually make a difference in the game? Do you have life path specific missions, and do NPCs react differently if they know you are a Corpo, Street kid, or Nomad?
Disappointing how it all turned out. Early on in development, CDPR teased wallrunning, the life paths, fashion choices affecting how NPCs react to you, the character creator, great storyline, weapon customisation, braindance, romances, etc. But then later on, CDPR shows us Keanu, and a change in direction. Features are dropped such as the wallrunning and fashion choices. And then the game drops and barely anything remains. A lot of the issues with the police A.I. and driving in the game doesn...
Is this before or after you install Bugsnax?
"Yeah, yeah. They really wanted you to mention the speed".
Pretty lifeless city. Hardly any pedestrians on the streets. Even less than on GTA. And the firefights remind me of Mass Effect 1 for some reason.
Don't forget the ridiculous in-game prices for said clothing. Cyberpunk 2077 to have some version of Shark cards?
Very nice from Sony.
At those prices, I think I'll save up for the PS5.
Serious cases of FOMO on this board, huh?
This article triggers me.
His teammates must be jealous.
This is good for PS gamers, but this kind of strategy is only good for the short term, unlike buying Zenimax and Bethseda.
I don't know who Travis Scott is, but SONY have decided to hire him to advertise the PS5 as he is popular with the target audience.
Here comes the party crasher!
Will it come with a remastered version of the E.T. video game?
CDPR is based in Warsaw I believe. Rockstar North is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
