Hideo Kojima. I love the Metal Gear series, but MGSV TPP was a let down compared to the previous games imo.
Tingle. I don't know who came up with the design, but were they trying to make the worst video game character ever?
Microtransactions. Lootboxes. Games that lock endings behind a paywall.
Better AI in regards to NPC behaviours and also where actions created by the player remain. I can't remember the term for it but and example would be where you destroy a building and it remains that way until it is repaired.
Virtual Reality. I think it is still in the early days but hopefully the technology will improve rapidly as more consumers jump in, especially if more quality content can be released.
Driv3r for the PS2. I wanted so much to like it after the fantastic 1st & 2nd Driver games, but it was such a disappointment. Maybe it was trying to hard to be like GTA.
Dungeon Master on the Atari ST. A games I spent many hours on, battling monsters, trying to keep my characters alive, all to beat the final boss (Lord Chaos). I think it was the first dungeon crawler I ever played.
Boulder dash on the 800XL. I remember playing for hours trying to beat the game. There were a couple of other earlier games that hooked me in, but I sadly can't recall the names.
Why does Sony think that censoring games is a good idea? The success of the Playstation was built on the diversity of the titles available and creative freedom of their own studios.
The only slight concern I have is the recent policy censorship policy change by Sony. Sony used to have a reputation for being very developer friendly, but moves like this don't make sense.
Diversity?
Only the coat for single player? Seems like this going to be similar to GTA Online where most content will be online only.
Hopefully, Marvel will continue to work with studios and developers that can produce future games that match or exceed the quality of Insomniac Games' Spider-Man, and not just flood the console/PC market with poorly made mobile type FTP games.
They tried with Fuse, then Sunset Overdrive. If MS won't entertain a sequel for SO, then why not develop a new IP?
Could Agent be considered a cancelled game?
I tend to agree that FPP tends to be more immersive, but other factors such as the writing, the degree of player agency, and having a voiced protagonist can affect this in a negative way. And if you have the ability to customise your character, then of course you will want to see it often during the game. I guess this will mostly be in cutscenes but I wonder if you'll be able to see your characters reflection in game? It will also be interesting to see how npcs react to your character as ...
Not many games do this, but I seem to remember GTA San Andreas had some pedestrians insult CJ if he was fat.
And that's a good thing.
That is a serious collectors edition.
The cast from Mass Effect Andromeda. Or Mickey Rourke from Rogue Warrior.
