I think the focus by MS on 'TV, TV, Sports, TV...' also played a factor with the early adopters. Gamers didn't want a cable box, they wanted a games console. This and the price difference helped Sony take the lead.
Red Dead Redemption would've been great on PC.
Gamers who own both consoles will have some great games to play for sure.
Sony also got it right by hiring Mark Cerny as the system architect.
Interesting article. Developers like Bioware are adding more diverse characters to their games such as Dorian and Sera in Dragon's Age: Inquisition and I hope to see more well written characters in other games too.
I think Sony would be quite satisfied with their performance regarding PS4 sales. They wanted to be more competitive in the USA and UK markets in this gen. Still early days yet but they are off to a good start.
The same could be said for many of the titles releasing for Xbox One.
I hope so. Please Rockstar, throw us a single player dlc bone.
For Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the price of the bundles was key. For the rest of the year, it'll be the the games.
If the main character is Corvo, I wonder what the story will be that makes him take up the mask again.
I keep reading the title of the game as 'Hat Red' after seeing it so many times.
I can't let it go. I've still got a backlog of games to get through.
Without a goal at the end it would get boring real fast. There will be only so many animated executions etc. and it would get repetitive.
Although some gamers may not mind that.
Then why did MS drop Kinect from the Xbox One?
VR and Milo?
I'd like to see Sony (and MS) allow their VR hardware to work with PC's. I think this would help with the adoption of VR.
Same thing on the BBC Panorama programme. I admit my joke was wrong but we are partly responsible for causing this by demanding and purchasing products such as game consoles and smart phones etc.
Colin McRae Rally and V-Rally were da bomb back in the day. I hope this one will be as good.
I kinda feel sorry for the guys and girls at Ubisoft Reflections too. Their early Playstation 1&2 games were awesome, like Destruction Derby and Driver (not Driv3r though).
Has Sony confirmed that the PS4 will be region locked in China?
