Without support from local developers in Japan, the Xbox One would not have been launched there at all. In order to justify being released in Japan (and other parts of Asia), it needs games.
If MS didn't pay them, then the developers would be less likely to support the console, huh?
If this is true then it might well be a good thing. Ubisoft, please take your time with this game. Make it the best that it can be on all platforms.

I think there are good points and bad points for both. One is a a video game series, the other is a series of movies. Best thing to do is enjoy the parts you like, and try to endure through the parts that disappoint you.
I can't stand it when GAME locks up those exclusive editions. Retailer exclusive deals are the worst. I guess it is equally the publishers fault too, huh?
