I thought the three would be 'diversity', DLC, and 'microtransactions'?
Does that mean the Limited Edition version is going to be more interesting than the Standard Edition version of the game? /s
It will be interesting to see how Scalebound performs when released in Japan.
I understood that this game had a season pass, so therefore I think a number of people will purchase it.
They forgot the number one train. They forgot the 'Cole Train'.

I doubt EA is losing money with Fifa and Madden etc. on PS3 and Xbox 360.
In any case, as the worldwide install base for current gen consoles grows, more developers will begin to focus on making games for the PS4 and Xbox One.
The Witcher trilogy, Fallout series, Final Fantasy (all of them), Elder Scrolls, Mario and Zelda games, Demon's/Bloodborne/Dark Souls' games. And probably a few others I can't remember.
Just never got motivated enough to buy them, and that was despite the fact I enjoyed other games in the same genres. Time passes, and then one has less reason to pick them up as other games occupy your time.
The titles I listed are both popular and have received countless praise fr...
'but Drake’s human, self-effacing megamix of Ford, Fillian and Russell wins it for me every time.'
Who is Fillian?
Someone is bound to do this.
I agree. Companies like EA can continue to make last-gen versions of Fifa and Madden etc. without impacting the current gen versions. But a game like Mass Effect 4 should only be on current gen consoles.
Also, Japan is likely to support the PS3 for some time, due to the large install base there until such time as the PS4 install base reaches a decent amount.
From some of the comments here, many disagree with the game being full price despite no single player story. Many single player only games are full price, so what is the difference? If a developer chooses to make a multi-player only game, that is their choice. My choice as a gamer would be deciding whether to buy it or not.
I'm not going to call the developers lazy, sign a petition, and wish the game flops. I'll leave it to the gaming market to decide if it will be successful...
Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2
More PR talk. MS designated Japan as a 'Tier 2 Country' and the console wasn't released there until about 10 months later than US and EU. Now it's suddenly critical?
Just as planned?
Someone is bound to mod Quiet or Paz in for this if it hasn't already happened.
I'm not sure if this particular offering is going to make much difference in Japan, especially since two of those titles are likely cheaper on PC. In any case, Xbox One needs games that appeal to the Japanese gamers, though unless MS pays for it, what Japanese developer wants to make a game on a system that has barely sold 50k units. To a Japanese gamer who is looking to buy a current gen games console, the lack of local content (software) plus dismal sales, doesn't really show the Xb...
If the timed exclusivity pays off for Microsoft then perhaps they might do a deal for the next Tomb Raider game as well.
Wouldn't it have been easier and potentially cheaper to have just gone to one of the major supermarkets and picked up a copy on release day? It's not like Fifa is a niche title with only a few copies on the shelves.
Sony should be thanking Microsoft for the endorsement.
Shuhei Yoshida is one of the reasons Playstation has been a success. Without him, things may have turned out quite different.
