I loved the first one, the 2nd one was good, just not as good as the first. Hope it goes back to the SCI-FI genre instead of the real world.
I started gaming during the Atari 2600 and then C-64, so my answer of course is no. However the hard then was tedious bullshit.
That used to be true 10 years ago. Windows 7 OS is very user friendly and does not need constant tweeking. Matter of fact, I haven’t had a problem since the release of 7.
When someone says that consoles have more exclusives, I really laugh.

Next Gen console needs to have these items.
1. Upgradeability of RAM, Video Card and Hard Drive. Software would need to be playable on minimum specs. This would kill large price tags on brand new consoles.
2. Mouse and Keyboard. (Not the crap that is available now)
3. Competitive online stores.

SWTOR will gain 10% of Wow population and 30-40% of everyone elses, plus a shit load of new comers. From what I played of SWTOR beta, i won't buy a game all next year.
I played a Bounty Hunter and everything I done was freaking evil. Then I got Mako and started making different choices because my evil ways wouldn’t get me far with her, at least I thought. Awesome game, can’t wait to make my real BH………………………
I like WoW, hell I like pretty much all games. I like TOR but only have enough money for 2 subs (son and I). I turn that chat crap off though in all games. I only have guild and local (around me) available in chat. And I use voice chat 99% of the time, if available. But I think TOR will take a considerable amount of subs from Blizzard. But TOR will hurt the other companies and I bet put some out to the pasture.
Activision is worried. Several years ago some devs were asked which mmo worried them and they said "SWTOR". However Blizzard and Activision will still be making money, not as much, but still very profitable. The other game companies like EQ2, Rift and Aoc need to be worried.
Totally agree, after playing beta this weekend, I pre ordered two copies. One for my son and me and can’t wait for the 15th………..
49 hours as of last night......playing Skyrim. Would have been more if I didn't play SWTOR beta.
I made a promise to myself this year, i would not buy anything at release or pre-order this year. After playing in Beta this past weekend, I broke that promise, pre-ordered today!

I think that the race has started behind the scenes now. It will become a waiting game in 2012. I wouldn't expect news on anything until it launches.
I don’t know who the douchebag is, but after reading his comments. I will never buy a game from them. And I think his problem is that he is using the pirating as a excuse. I have read too many developer stories about how great Steam was for sales and anti-pirating measure, so it isn’t that. It is more than likely they know the game isn’t worth a crap and porting it is a waste of time. Cause seriously PC gamers have way more to choose from than our console bretheren.
I bought a Xbox 360 and a PS3, both gathered dust and are sold. The only way I would go console is a mouse and keyboard and RTS games, plus the freedom I have on my PC.
