I disagree with the author. It depends on how well SWTOR profits in a year or two before making assumptions that developers are going to drop the pay to play model. But it doesn’t look good for the MMO P2P model……….
Which game is best is purely subjective to a ton of things to each individual. You can argue all day long and not gain a inch!
I have always believed that people pirate for different things. Some doing it because of hate for the developer or nefarious reasons. Others do it because it cost too much or their country restricts the game itself. However I feel most do it because they have been cheated in the past by developers on games they have purchased but were piles of crap.

Oh totally agree, awesome game, waiting on my early access key now. But I paid the minimum for the game. Paying more is usually not a good return for money spent.
After falling for the hype of other mmos in the past (like Vanguard). I stay away from shit like that and lifetime passes. Don't care which companies are promoting the idea either........
Depends on how much you spend on games! If you buy one or two games a year, console wins. If you buy everything that comes out or a lot of games for yourself and family then PC all the way!

Blizzard made Diablo competition when it stated that if I sign up for a year (which I did) for WoW, I get Diablo 3 for free. Besides all games are competition with each other, hell I’ll blow many, many hours on Diablo 3……
One of the few MMOs that I have not played. I think I went with Age of Conan or another MMO that launched the same time. What ever the other MMO was, it sucked!

I’m not saying that one million subscribers is low. I am saying that with the franchise of Star Wars and the company Bioware, I would have thought it would have been more, that’s it. I thought the preorders took into account the digital side of it also…….
You’re talking years ago, so yes low numbers. But with COD selling record numbers in the millions and this is a Bioware/EA/Lucas Arts $150 million project. I would have though it would have sold more. I got my two copies and I love the game play in Beta and I can't wait until it releases.
