It is highly stupid to compare PC versus anything, except maybe a MAC. When the Xbox comes out, then they can make a comparison!

This will be my beef with the PS4. If their games are expensive, I will stick with PC. I have to buy for three people (my two sons and myself), so cost does matter!

It’s a damn shame that most TV series or movies have shit for games. I would expect there would be some kind of quality control by the series creators because of the money generated from the gaming market. If you have an hit on your hands, major cash!

Xbox is a very closed system and so is PS3, just not as bad as Xbox. The only way that will happen:

That's exactly what happens. I work for a private company, just like Valve. I have a job to do at my own pace. However if I am not carrying my weight, they can let me go at anytime. They don't need a reason!
It's stupid for any dev to be exclusive to one platform, unless they don't have the means to be multi-platform.
If Valve goes tits up. You will need to download everything you own. And for me, that would equal about 20 terabytes! I have a crap load of games!
However the likely hood of that happening would be like Bobby Kotick giving away COD and WOW for free!
