That's what happens when standards are low

"Well you've still gone for the dual core, bottom of the range Celeron CPU, which will severely limit your ability to go "far beyond" the consoles. If anything you're crippling the GPU which such a low spec CPU, and are unlikely to reach the full potential of the GPU in games.
The PS4's CPU is superior in every respect to that piece of trash, which would...
Even with a $3000 PC that plays games at 120fps won't ever have games that the PS offers.
And they really need it.
But wow hopefully this means they will fund more exclusive games and content.
Good time to be a gamer!
Sweet, downloading this now. I need to finish Batman AO, might as well try it with the DS4
$750k will do that to you. I'm surprised it wasn't an 9.5/10, maybe they want another $750k.
I disagree, I loved the campaign. It might have a few weird quirks here and there, but overall it's the best in the entire Killzone franchise. We finally see the side of the helghast and even the soldiers. They have families, they are soldiers who have to do what they don't want to do, and most of all they show the similarities between them and the normal humans.
"but MS will gain or take over after people has a chance to see the xb1 in action for theirselves"
Yeah see the jagged 720p mess in action for themselves.
Hmm need some direct feed footage to make a better judgement.
Seriously though, all the pixel crunching power really doesn't matter if we don't have exclusive PC only games that push the hardware to the brink. The last great looking game that utilized a lot of CPU and GPU power was Crysis 3... And that's about it.
If the Xbone had a $349 SKU it would have been priced perfectly against the PS4 and would be a lot easier to overlook the technical shortcomings.
Technically it's not free
I stopped reading at "Mountain Dew and Doritos - The two main food groups at least for some gamers" lol
Yup lucky for them, sites like Polygon, asrtechnica, and Kotaku are there to save the day!
6.8m is still far from bombing... But yes it's on a serious decline.
But you know what? I have a feeling next year it's going to go back up. Treyarch's next title might be the one to get now. They are at least trying to do something slightly different.
Who are those 2274 people that bought Angry Birds? lmao
^Yes COD ghosts is deceptively a demanding title. I know this because of the PC version. It uses HBAO+ and uses an unusual amount of tessellation. While I agree it doesn't look that great compared to something like BF4, it's still very taxing on hardware. Some chalk it to "unoptimzation" but my money is more on the excess use of tessellation that people don't notice.

If you want to see what the PS4 is capable of, KZ SF is THE title to get. That and Resogun. And these are just launch titles, imagine seeing a game with a solid 3 years of development.
Well you're partially right. The are multiple reasons why things became the way they are.
1. The past console generation was the longest.
2. The GPU race between Nvidia and AMD is at an all time high, where performance have increased dramatically.
3. The PS4 is only $399, equivalent in performance to about a $550 PC. So there's more of a value proposition given the weakness of the economy worldwide. Sure they could have thrown in a Radeon 7970 but that...
Damn wouldn't mind a Titan
