Clearly with the success of GoW on PS4 and GoW Ragnarok, the public disagrees with Jaffe. The first one in particular was a masterpiece. Honestly if it was more of the same like the previous games, it would have started feeling old and stale. It's also paid a lot of respect and homage to the old storylines too, so I don't get why Jaffe isn't "fond" of it. Maybe he's just bitter.

That's really the reason why they keep lumping the S with the X. In reality the X is the actual comparative console to the PS5 and the sales aren't even close. You also just see this generally in the mindshare of people now, random movies and TV shows you see them playing on a PS5. This is in stark contrast to the 360 era where you saw nothing but the Xbox 360 controller in media.

It would have soften the overreaction if they would have stuck with 1TB and priced it at $599.
