I wish this was more common on the Xbox. As someone who once lived in a small town, you don't always have a game store within reasonable driving distance, meaning getting a new game when it releases simply isn't always feasible, even if you really want to support it. You could order it online, but it's one degree of extra effort people aren't always in the mood to put up with, plus the wait until it arrives.

I downloaded the demo earlier, so I'll save my final verdict for after playing it, but I'm not as interested in what Resident Evil has become as others seem to be so RE6 isn't going to be a big influence on my decision.

I'm kinda torn on this, since I've never been big on team-focused stuff, but I love well-done stealth gameplay. I may have to at least rent it when it comes out just for the latter.

Dragon's Dogma definitely seems to take inspiration from Dark Souls, but that actually makes me a little skeptical of it. The formula of Dark Souls is so incredibly easy to get wrong. It must be finely balanced to near-perfection to work, and I'm not sure I've seen anything from Capcom since the PS2 era that makes me think they can do that.

I generally don't have a problem with DLC, bar some exceptions, so I'm glad that it's helping the industry during a time when it seems to be struggling.

Haha, I think I found it, but I won't spoil it for the others.

I'm not really saying there should be. Just that this isn't at all surprising because the fact of the matter is that there are.

Haha, what a way to tease Ghost Recon fans. This is probably making the wait unbearable for them.

I'm not surprised. Some of the stuff the TV series gets away with at times is rather shocking. People are much more critical of such content in games, so it's harder to get away with it in this medium.

Ghost Recon, from what I've seen, has always been about the team experience, so it's understandable that you can't come to it with the same attitude as you might other games. Not sure if it's what I'm looking for in a shooter, but I'm glad there are games out there offering something different from the norm.

Except that even if EA are the ones responsible for this, they aren't elevating they people complaining. They're elevating the people defending. That's what this is about, so they're doing the opposite of what you're saying. :|

I don't see anything that confirms this was EA's doing, just that there were bots.

Also, the bots aren't supporting a boycott campgain. The bots are commenting on a petition give EA props for supporting the LGBT community. Screw the haters, I'm glad EA is supporting LGBT folks, and anyone who doesn't like it is no friend of mine.

The first Witcher never really interested me, but everyone I know who's played Witcher 2 thinks it is the bees knees, and so I'll probably give the console version a try once I have the cash for it.

When the game's writer talks about, "Who doesn't want to see a high school cheerleader with lots of pantyshots," then, yes, as that is ephebophilia, they are making a statement as to their intended audience all being ephebophiles.

Definitely seems like a game that would be improved with 3D

Lollipop Chainsaw seems one of the more interesting ones on the list, but I'm not sure I'll get it. Just not sure I want to play a game that assumes I'm a straight ephebophile like so many of their intended audience are.

I have a friend who's into the Koei games, he's a big Romance of the Three Kingdoms nut, but personally I'd rather play Sengoku Basara for historical hack-n-slash. The Koei games have just never really appealed to me.

Resident Evil 5 had inexcusably tedious, unimaginative level design in a piss-poor effort to justify the forced co-op. There wasn't the same feeling of exploration and connectedness that previous games had, because it ditched that for a more convention western shooter level system. All forms of interesting puzzles were essentially ditched because they'd get in the way of going shooty-shoot bang bang. Plus, at times, the game treaded into frustrating bullshit territory, which was exace...

I don't think I've been able to take the history of the Assassin's Creed games seriously once I found out aliens and magic technology or whatever are involved. Reminds me too much of late night "history" specials starring crazy people.

I kind of wish they'd stop trying to westernize their games. I think Resident Evil 4 was the only instance of that actually making the game better. In all other instances, their attempts have backfired and resulted in a broken mess.
