What if the game is just ported the way devs port games to Switch? That doesn't effect the original higher quality version that came a few yrs before? I think people are forgetting this fact. Sony could have another team doing the port for the ps4 version at the same time as the main team is building the ps5 version.

Oh my God. Every gen people try to stop the power house that is Playstation. And every gen they fail.
PS5 will have the best looking and playing first party AAA exclusives like every gen.
I can't wait to play these games because the developers are some of the best in the world with the backing of the best gaming publisher ever.

No, Cory Barlog said years back that the next game will take half the time because the ps5 is easier/faster to make games and they already have the blue print. I think it's a Sep-Nov release.
@VenomUK: I think the difference between ps2 and ps5 is the fact that people are staying home more than ever because of the pandemic. I mean streaming services like Netflix and the like are recording record numbers because of the pandemic. Plus their are way more gamers today than there were back in the ps2 days obviously.
200 Million is not going to happen. But 120 -130? could happen.
I'm just going to be patient and wait until the dust settles and buy one when they are truly available. Unless i happen upon one.
I hardly buy games at full price anyway. I buy about 2 full priced game per yr. Not going to bother me, the devs work their asses off in crunch time, so if this means they get better bonuses or a raise? not a problem for me.
You can earn the items in those games. You don't have to buy anything.
I think the devs deserve the price increase. Great work deserves compensation. Nothing stays the same price. Nothing.
That is what we call inflation folks. Time to put on the big boy pants and grow up. Nothing stays the same price, that includes wages. I have no trouble paying the extra money for their games because of the quality. Now if i had to pay more for games and they were half ass? wouldn't do it. I only buy 2 or 3 games a yr at full price anyways. The rest i get on sale.

People play to play everyday. Including you. Unless you play games offline after burning it. Actually even then you payed to download it didn't you.
Listen, if it's not for you that's cool. But i think for people, especially xbox gamers that ms once again is letting down(cue Craig) will pay most times for online gaming. This way they get the best that Sony's ps4 had to offer.

And in no way should it be. It's two different gens. All it does is scratch the itch of ps4 players so we have something good to play until they 1. have enough consoles made so people can buy them and 2. people have more time to save up for the ps5. They said the games are a one time payment and we can play the ps5 version when we upgrade.

Thank God Sony came to their senses. I can't wait to get my hands on a ps5 but it seems they are selling out fast and stock is low. Pandemic has crippled many finacially, that along with the low stock makes the decision to put the first few games on both console, we didn't see Spider-Man look like Craig, a smart move. Exactly. And add the amount they spend on making these games. Point is they will make the first few games for ps4 and as soon as they pump out enough ps5's they will stop making them for ps4. People act as if it costs nothing to make these high end AAA games. It's not the same as MS because they rarely make High end AAA games , and they are always going to make games for the last gen. Different approach.
The only game they said was impossible on ps4 was Insomniac saying Ratchet and Clank, because of the portals. Stop making up stuff.
MM is an expansion, and i never though that it wouldn't be on the ps4. Who cares about Sackboy, it will be the same on both basically anyway right?
I only heard them saying that they believe in generations when asked about MS plans for the xbox. Meaning they believe in generation but that doesn't mean that all games will only be on ps5. Especially when the console launches.It was Sony saying we aren't MS and we believe in generation exclusivity.
