now we have the 360 outselling the ps3 worldwide by 50k NOT including Japan, so we can safely assume the 2 systems are selling on par with each other on a worldwide scale...

attach rate is over 4 for the ps3. over 6 for the 360. the math was posed in another thread. i wish everyone would stop saying the attach rate for the ps3 is so low. how bout you do some hardware to software math for yourselves and stop going with the crowd.

sony's attach rate is THAT terrible? cuz i swore someone on this here site did a hardware to software ratio and it went something like this:
360: 6.6
ps3: 4.30
wii: 3 something
i may be off by a little but i know the ps was over 4 and the 360 was over 6. 360's is better but its not a landslide like some would have you believe
its entertaining that teh 360 fanboys once proclaimed the ps3 had to outsell the 360 by 500,000 a month for upteen years just to catch it.

ps3 not gaining any ground in NA? i think you need to check npd the last several months. the 360 once had a 4:1 lead in NA. now its at 1.8:1.

MOSTLY, but your flaw is this: there are some ps3's out there who only want to play games. they dont want to buy high def movies. im one. i have games and the free movies that came with the offer on my ps3 but i dont have a high def tv so its no need to get any high def movies. so yes it is 7 million+ ps3 owners but not all of them are using that sexy selling point of it being a blu-ray player. at least not yet anyway.

your entire theory is flawed seriously. that slight lead you speak of, that 3:1 lead, is only for the usa. it is more like at least 7:1 worldwide. how can you count all the ps3's in the world yet only count the blu-ray sales in the usa.

Lets get some percentages. what percentage of PS3 owners bought Ratchet, uncharted, resistence, warhawk, etc. and what percentage of 360 owners bought mass effect, halo 3, bioshock, gears, etc.
