"The 360 in its second year has managed to sell, with all of its really big hitters coming out, just 7.3M units. The PS3 with only a handful of big hitters and competition on both sides from Microsoft and Nintendo (that remember the 360 didn’t have in its first year), has managed to sell in 14 months 8.9M units. Europe still has 3-4 months of sales yet to reach one year. So if we take the 8.9 as it stands now and include 3-4 months of Europe sales it will probably be about 10-10.5M units...

he works for Microsoft and he was building the next xbox... can you say SUPER RROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyone seen TheMart lately? as a matter of fact a lot of the 360 boys we used to see so much has pretty much disappreated.
is this where all the 360 xboys are? conveintly absent from the article saying the ps3 outsold MS worldwide. yes i came to crash this boring party.
each company copies each other and try to take it up a notch. good for 360 if it can up a notch a motion sensing controller.
why is this thread so d@mn long on something that can be summarized in just 2 sentences?
i think u need to check metacritic baker. they both averaged the same. and only selling 2 mil (so u say) more with double the install base is NOT impressive
your an a$$. thats my guess
whatever you're smoking, please pass that sh!t
i think what is clear is MS is aiming to cut the longevity of physical as short as possible. and honestly there is no better company to do so than MS. they are software leaders and have VERY deep pockets. I'll admit, them boys aint playin.
Wii? games? i wouldnt call those games. i dont know what the hell they are.
so now 360 boys are WAITING for a price cut to help them out? and they say WAIT BEYOND should be the PS3's slogan. gimmie a break. geniune, you and your boy marty have been talking about a price cut since october on these here boards. is it likely to happen, yes, but a $100 price cut, i doubt that.
then 2008 will be a long year.
should have been Bioshock, hands down
im starting to envy XBL. really. If the world were perfect, we'd have XBL on PS3. no trolling here. just a comment.
you see that as good news...when the 360
had a 1 year head start
more AAA games
better marketing
better online functionality
and that is good how?
actually this post gets under my skin a little.
the 360 has:
-a 1 year head start
-the most AAA games
-double the install base
-better online experience
-savy marketing compared to ps3 (until as of late)
AND
-shall we not forget a cheaper price point
the ps3 has had negative press even before they came out. due to sony arrogance and many other factors. you say the ps3 should bury the 360? off brand loyalty?...
