You dont have to, some of us have good rigs to play this game on as well. Also better to have console only players experience this then just PC gamers only.

Just be glad it's designed for PC gaming and not port of consoles :)

Wow gives me goosebumps as i'm taken back in mid 2000s. I loved it in Battlefield 2.

One way they can do that is to make the base spawn off limit to opposing side by few miles so even it will be difficult for snipers to get easy kills. I hated Vietnam/BF2 camping issues. But i think in Badcompany and above they sorted it out a bit.

Great stuff. Haven't been this excited from watching a trailer since i saw battlefield 2 trailer back in 2004 or was it 2005?

Anyway, I hope there are few of non-aircraft levels which normally become the most played ones, like strike at karkand from BF2.

This is true war game, COD is just a PG version of small part of Battlefield level.

I think time to chuck out my 5870 and put in a 580GTX, the cpu @ 3.6ghz should do the rest ;) Sorry xbo...

I use 120GB SSD for the O/S and basic programs and it's damn quick howver consoles dont need SSDs since the o/s footprint is already very small and just for loading games from SSD will just shave off few secs which console owners can do w/o if teh cost will be too high.

For consoles i'd rather see money spent on a mid/high end GPU and loads of RAM rather than SSDs.

@Muffins.

You konw 360 has 1 year left? Well with games like MW3, BF3, Gears, new halo etc are coming almost end of this year you think it will end just after that?

Do you think game devs would not be working on new games for console with the highest sales in at least NA?

Most of the ps3 owners are talking about discussing WW figures yet nobody has provided any links to that article. Care to share?

@superbeast

sorry had to login just to comment for you.

Wow that's the worst excuse i have seen on N4G in recent times. There is 1 year warranty still on these consoles you know?

FYI I have a 2006 RROD repaired console still working it's @$$ (wifey plays her games on it) I play most of the times on my SLIM from 1 year and few months. Also have a MW2 Edition but that's been packed and boxed since i got teh slim as birthday g...

@element i dont think we can judge by the fact that he died while jogging, means excercise is bad for us. We dont know the circumstances of what caused his death but we do know from the study that running is pretty good cardio excercise and can improve ones health not the otehr way round.

I was regular gym guy for many years and never went to doc in years. Of late had stopped most forms of cardio and only do pushups/crunches at home when i'm not lazy and i can feel that...

Yes and he was jogging also which means he was health consious unlike many of gamers like us. Man i should get back on the workout thing as i've been lazy for past one year and im' approaching the danger zone of age

Dont know but i'm pretty short tempered and do silly things while driving if someone agitates me. Can be influence of gaming over past 20 years.

Have you not played COD, MW, MW2, WAW, Black ops ?

Looks straight out of one of the MW2 maps. The gameplay may be intense but it's the same thing. I dont remember the name of that map (scrapyard or something) but i remember joining a hacked server one time and they had unlimited ammo and kept spamming grenades like there is no tomorrow. Funny stuff. This brings the memory back cuz after the hacking got too much i left it completely.

This could have easily passed off as an expansion. Activision should be called lazyvision...

I'm having a 42" Passive 3D tv for 2 months now, the lack of 3D content is a downer though. But with more and more movies coming in 3D I can now wait for these instead of going to theater and watch at home.

Used to play Crysis2 in 3D mode quite a lot and it looks pretty good even if the rez is halved but i have about 10 pairs of glasses now some theater ones and 4 pairs which came with the Tv. Not bothered with battery running out or more people coming over and less...

@steven

Fat32? I dint know that so how do you keep HD movies on it which are usually more than 4GB in size which is higher than allowed by fat 32 of a single file size?

Edit: @series_lla

But they could have gone linx FS route which doesn't have this limitation right?

@Heartnet
Really? did you ever clean up the cache on your HDD? Even on my older 20gb it takes about 8~9 mins.

@KingSlayer

(did not disagree)

Considering some partial install on PS3 take more than 20 mins it would still be same ;)

Not to mention 360 owners can just pop the DVD and start the game not even needing to install whereas .....

@cereal

My battlefield Vietnam came on 3 CDs, dint' make it any less fun.

Oh yes and that too ;)

5449d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

If you read teh article Carmack mentions worse latencey on PS3's BD compared to DVDs. Good luck for an hour install if you want the full game as for 360 it takes 8~9 mins / DVD.

@adamant

Seriously? you dont feel teh difference between HDD install and direct DVD play? Noise for one but also the loading time is improved quite a lot. Specially games which have been optimised for HDD play.
