I have two monitors so can stream E3 on the left one sammy 19" wide screen while i surf the net on 23" Asus MS236H. Or just turnaround and watch it stream via xbox360 on my 50" plasma. Too many choices.
I have been building PCs since 97 but they are still tricky, especially when putting everything in the case. It's not work for average joe but experienced gamers should not have a problem assembling one. Since this PC is targeted at gamers, they would know that it's not a good deal.
Well even with slight improvements on the current cpu + new gpu + better/more ram, we can see great leap in performance.
One of the main factors in reduced quality compared to PCs were lack of ram in current gen consoles but even with 512mb on 360 and 256x2 split on ps3 devs could work out a way to show good looking games. You know what happened to "We don't need Blu-Ray", it lasted 7 years Dec 2005 ~ Dec 2013 (new xbox). Ordered in Dec 2k5 i got mine in Jan2k6. Glad I didn't have to pay premium for a trial underutilized storage device which was still not needed at the end of the current generation.

With the way displays have been improving on the tablets/phones if some external controller compatibility is reached and games start supporting these then it would really be taken seriously as gaming platform. I for one, can't keep playing fps games like NOVA, Battlefield by sliding fingers over flat slippery glass touchscreens.

Yep me too. I'm already in my 40s and have been gaming since 80s from atari to commodore 64 to amiga and PCs etc. I've always using physical medium and unless it's an android phone / iphone game i will not go and download full fledge games all the time.

I have 16mb connection and i get about 2mb/sec so a 16gb would d/l in 2.2hours or so but i would not go for console with d/l only option. I dont want to pay for a game then wait for 2~3 hours or more if there is other downloads happening so bandwidth is shared. What if i lose the hdd so have to d/l all the 100gb worth of data/game etc?
