Do you considter PC games to be less than consoles as PC games still ship on DVDs AFAIK ?
You're right but jump from 720p to 1080p is still considerable, i have movies which are 720 and others 1080p and on all of my 42" and above tvs (3 tvs) i notice much sharper image. Also would like to see more normal mapping (bump mapping) and higher rez textures in coming gen consoles. We still see lots of blurred or washed out textures in games due to just few hundred MB ram in current consoles.
My point was that for just changing ram it would not be such a big deal as adding a gpu so there might not be any delay. Unless the contacted and already started getting the ddr3 chips in factories for production. However they could just pay the penalty to ddr3 manufacturer and get ddr5 which would be much better for them in long run and they can afford to pay the initial cost rather then start the next gen with already a weaker ram in comparison with their main rival.
sony delayed ps3 for 6 months to add nvidia gpu for graphics processing which is much much more complicated then just switching ram so why can't MS do it?
Like Sony went back to nvidia for ps3 when cell failed to do much on graphics side
From a Jan 2006 360 owner and hardcore fan don't focus on that pos Kinect and show more exclusive ips for 720 otherwise most of us will jump ship. It's hard enough u idiots putting Kinect specific achievements in games like forza don't dilute our gaming experience next gen.

Seriously this is just a lower side mid range PC with slightly better Memory config. NO BC other than streaming, if that's the case too bad for many of the sony followers who had hyped the Bluray games to kindom come.
Now lets see what MS shows at E3. BC should not be problem for them since their architecture has been similar to PC from teh start.
I can control my XBOX360 right now (and for last few months) with my S3 android phone using smartglass app. Send msgs, browse or start games and even mimic it as a controller. So sony guys have to wait till Nov to control their PS4?
Don't buy the dlc simple if it bothers you. I didn't buy any cod dlc except one time for mw2. I've played blops2 to death but didn't buy any dlc or season pass simply cuz I don't want them.

And MS extended the warranty for 3 years. So did you count the YLOD issues in PS3 as well in sales figures or how PS2 had massive lens issues which i had it on 2 PS2s. Atleast MS covered it with 3years but not by SONY.

You really paid 60$ / year seriously? I've been buying it for $45 being outside US and in non xblive country. HOwever it's even cheaper in US and many countries. You seem to just fishing for an excuse. How many downtimes PSN had compared to XBL? Also content and overall service wise XBL is 100 times better PSN.
Seriously? Good news for PC? If the consoles reach capability of matching current PC games then who will go and buy another 600$ vga card to upgrade every 2 years? And in last/current gen how many pc devs shifted focus on to consoles, so imagine if the new consoles allow devs to do whatever they desire and without fear of keeping in mind compatibility issues betweens millions of pcs and keeping it in mind the minimum specs they need to start off from the bat etc.
