because theres no need to mention it. why? because they are using Playstation Suite for it. thats whats going run on the phone when you Play PS games on it.
the Experia Play is the flagship device for Playstation Suite. a bunch of other "Playstation Certified" phones will follow.
$300 or bust.
so wait, its confirmed that it does have 512mb ram?
yup thats the problem. sony cannot make the same mistakes they created with the PSP. price is the main factor here. its has to be at $300 OR below for this to succeed $300 is the Magic launch price, or bust.
$399 is too much. $300 is the magic number for launch price.
they cant have another "599 US Dollars" moment again. i think they will take a loss. $300 is competively priced against the 3DS, especially with all those features and hardware it has.
EDIT: you may pay $399 for this, no doubt this thing is a beast. but many people here wont be paying that much.
bluetooth is important. that means if it is possible, tether it with my 3G capable cellphone and go online with it without adding another 3G service for the handheld.
wirless B/G/N is a plus. PSP only had wireless a/b.
that means better internet connection.
hopefully in terms of the software side of the NGP, other than live area, they talk more about its web browser, PSN abilities, multitasking, PS3 interconnectivity and much more.
...
it looks like he is pushing for cloud save games on the PSN as well. a feature that i we wanted on the PS3 for a while. can it be that sony is trying to push this as well?
well theres your playstation phone. for those that do not understand. the "PSP phone" that we have seen on the net recently is just a flagship phone for playstation Suite, the real meat and potatoes for that phone. expect more phones to do this.
NGP though, is a whole different beast :D
yea, im gonna miss the xmb, but this had to happen folks. and im glad.
EDIT: HOLY F**K! KOJIMA IS ON STAGE AND THEY"RE DEMOING MGS4 ON IT!
EDIT: HERE WE GO, CALL OF DUTY CONFIRMED FOR NGP
if you think about it, thats the right pricing for it. just hope it doesnt go over $300.
i will definately pay $300 for the NGP.
EDIT: HOLY CRAP THEY"RE PLAYING YAKUZA ON IT RIGHT NOW!
well they're playing it right now, LOL
EDIT: oh snap! they're running Lost planet 2 on it!
EDIt 2:
@fEMSHIP
ITS USING PHYSICAL MEDIA, ITS USING MEMORY CARDS NOW TO SELL THEIR GAMES, NOT UMD, so its not DD ONLY :D
i think the 3G support confirms that LOL
LiveArea?, it looks like they are getting rid of the xmb? well im gonna miss it. but changes are necessary.
DUAL F***KING ANALOG STICKS f***k YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
NEW PHYSICAL MEDIA ARE FLASH BASED MEMORY CARDS, AWESOME!!! sorry for caps
UPDATE: Uncharted for NGP is confirmed!!
OMFG DUAL ANALOG STICKS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
im pretty sure thats about the PSP phone, not PSP2. pretty much, they are opening the Playstation buisness on Android phones. it will most likely play PS1 games.
thats solves the PS phone rumor i guess?
if true, then sucker punch just trolled the hell out of us, they're so sly...
edit: LOL at site name....
so any final predictions before this conference starts? keep in mind, apparently, people are saying that there will be a few PS3 announcements as well..
"The next prototype features the Circle Pad. Nintendo actually joked about releasing a product in which players could decide themselves where to place the buttons wherever they wanted."
thats a neat idea. wonder why it didnt made it in the final version...
still, thats pretty cool.
no. when they mentioned Android because they are opening up the Playstation business on Android phone, hence why they announced Playstation Suite. You will now be able to officially play PS one games, and other forms of playstation games on your Android smart phone.
