Micro made over a billion dollar on just XBL last year and the X360 has been profitable since 2008. With the new SLIM their profit margin is even higher now (sadly)... my point is, they are making money with consoles, more than Sony is, so why should they step out if even Sony isn't considering it?

If Uncharted 2 had "flopped" it wouldn't be getting a sequel and you won't have anyone to play with online.

Uncharted hans't hit that number yet and it's a shooter by the way.
Metal Gears Solid is also a shooter. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue isn't innovative (not saying it's bad or anything).
