now thats a great Christmas gift from Polyphony Digital to the Japanese ps3 owners, get to grips with the game for a couple of weeks then go online in 16 player racing

i haven't played Mass Effect but all the positive press/reviews/opinion can't all be wrong but i do own Unchartered so know how good it is.
Two instant classics so irrespective of platform you own we all should be happy as now is just about the best time ever to be a gamer.

obviously it's all subjective opinion and we all like different things but Lost Planet is a great game, i sold my 360 just before this came out so was happy when it was released for the pc.
I loved it and will definitely be buying this for my ps3, it's not a stunning genre defining game but it's certainly a good one

Heavenly Sword is a great game but it's actually more than that, the whole experience is superb the story is told very well within the game and it looks incredible in places
some of the sequences where you control an arrow or shield with the six-axis motion control is implemented very well

i understand what your saying mate and to an extent agree that companies should make more new ip software but sequels or even prequels are inevitable and are not a bad thing.

not true at all, the Dreamcast is still getting games released for it in Japan so in that respect it's one of the longest lived consoles.
It would be nice for SEGA to enter the console hardware market again as it would be a day one purchase for me, if they ever did release the Dreamcast 2 i suspect it may well turn out to be a handheld
whatever happens i am a big SEGA fan and still play my Japanese Dreamcast on a regular basis, i look forward to the day i can go into a games shop and purchase a new piece of SEGA gaming hardware but i suspect it won't happen any time soon.
