Actually VR will only blossom and work best on a PC. That $400.00 console cannot run VR properly anyways. The PS VR requires the headset to have built in external cpu/gpu in order for it to work on the PS4. The vive/oculus rift no such requirement due to the hardware is already there. As the PC hardware improves VR will improve with it while the PS4 version of VR will remain the same.
Basically you are saying a game developer can just port the game from console to PC when it comes to VR. Wish I agree, game developers need to finally take advantage of the PC hardware specially now that VR is about to launch
Ha ha ha what a silly article Nvidia GTX 970 is not that expensive compared to the Nvidia Titan X. No a lot of pc gamers play on a desktop not a wimpy ass laptop. It seems the author plays on console as opposed to PC
2016 is the year the JRPG genre returns to consoles. If is a Square Enix JRPG it most likely come to pc 😸. It will also be a great year for the PS4, due to is bringing some interesting exclusives like Dreams, Let it Die, something Fitch, etc. It will also be a great year for PC gamers. PC gaming is getting some awesome exclusives like:
Rollercoaster Tycoon World
Planet Coaster
Tides of Numera
Consortium 2
P.A.M.E.L.A
Allison Roa...
Consoles are done, a decade later and consoles cannot run all of its games at 1080p/60 frames per second wich pc gaming has done it since 2005. The videogame multi genres are gone from consoles. Action adventure fps, sports rule the roost. On PC every single genre is widely available from survival horror to platformers, shmups, mmo, mobas, survival, etc. Consoles have lost their accessibility and ease of use and unique hardware. Today's consoles are nothing more nothing less but overclock...
I honestly don't know. The public high school I attended had pc courses and English instructors would not give an A to any essay written by the student unless it was typed on MS word. Not only that but the Windows OS is way too automated. Patches/updates are done after shutting down your pc. Everything is just clicking icons , even MS word has templates for everything meaning is just filling the blanks.
I do see as the last console generation and the rise of cloud gaming circa 2020. PlayStation Now is the PS5 and Xbox Live will become a brand. The battle of hardware is over, pc won the hardware battle . The battle of software has begun.
Look from a game developers point of view is that their profits would double by having their games on both xbox one and pc. Xbox Live could end up as a Microsoft brand
AAA exclusives like Endless Legend, City Skylines, Total War franchise, Path of Exile, etc . You don't need steam or origin to play pc games you can buy say pc games directly from the game developers website. There's splitcreen on PC gaming; just not on all titles, like Rayman Legends, Ace Combat Horizon, Enemy Mind, Trine franchise, etc. I agree most mainstream game developers/publishers do treat pc gamers like shit.
That's fair enough
Elite Dangerous, City Skylines, Kerbal Space Kerbal, Endless Legend, The Vaneshing of Ethan Carter, Space Engineers , etc. do push the hardware of PC gaming. Every single genre is on PC:
Kholat (survival horror)
Blue Flamingo (shmup)
Street Fighter 4 (fighting)
Cave story (platformer)
Act of Agression (rts]l)
Its the consoles with the high prices, pay to play online and down to two genres fps and action adventure. Luckily this ...
PC gaming is the future of gaming. VR, AR, 4K gaming is all possible on PC . The more elaborate, open ended, and organic games become the more will PC become the center of attention. PC gaming has more to offer than consoles (free online gaming, mods, cheaper games, etc.)........
It would of been an awesome game
It will also come down if the psvr can offer a virtual experience that feels as real as the real world. If it feels that you are just closer to the tv set or the player feels the vr experience to feel like is fake then it won't succeed.
VR will have a troublesome launch but in 5 years or more it will blossom into Sword Art Online status. VR will become more successful if it implements motion controls as opposed to 🎮 due to motion controls immersed the gamer into the vr environment better than a gamepad. The whole purpose of VR is to drive the user into a virtual world that feels as real as the real world.......
Because love in videogames is superficial at best. It has no consequences, struggles, etc. The only game that truly shows love at its central theme, game design, shows the power of love, its consequences, trials and errors is "To the Moon".
Putting aside the dating sims/visual novels, the only game that truly showed love as its central theme, game design, and even gameplay wise is "To the Moon". Love in games like MGS V is there as an addition not really at its central theme.....
Microtransanctions in $60.00 plus tax games , pay to play online.
..
Well said
True but VR on PS4 will remain the same; however, on PC it will become better and more immersive than what PS4 can offer.
