First of all, Yakuza 3 is the sequel to Yakuza 2 and Yakuza 2 is the sequel to Yakuza.
The Yakuza series why very impressive is inferior to the Shenmue series in just about every sense.
It was spawned out of the idea of a cheaper less production value brother to Shenmue. It doesn't have the same quality or budget of the Shenmue series.

Still simply from an older generation standpoint, my Uncle knows about the 3DS my mother knows about the 3DS.
All of my friends well most know about the 3DS, only my more hardcore gamer friends have any clue the NGP currently is currently being made.
