Actually the primary use for most smart-phones is browsing the internet. You need to wake up it's not the early 90s phone's aren't only meant for communication any longer.
I have an Iphone 4 (4S doesn't seem improved enough to warrant an upgrade) and as a phone it's all around average it's clearly it's Ipod feature it's App store and web browser that make it exceptional.

Not true, saying current consoles aren't maxed out is pointless, the PS2 ain't maxed out either is the PSX.
The reason games keep getting better is because developers are finding cleaver ways to get around the limited resources consoles have.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 have 512MB of ram, my Iphone has the same amount. it's utterly looney to believe anything other then current consoles are slowing developers down.
Still it's never going to be the next Gran Turismo for Sony.
Am not slagging the games quality off, am simply pointing out the nearest it ever came to becoming a blockbuster was KZ2.
And after that sadly there's been a much lower amount of interest in the series. For me it doesn't have the longevity games like Battlefield have.

You make the assumption KZ3 is a massive blockbuster it's not. KZ2 is far better in sales and ratings.
Battlefield is a blockbuster series, Call Of Duty is a blockbuster series (sadly) and Halo is a blockbuster series.
Killzone 3 doesn't hold that crown, so saying it looks better then KZ3 means very little to most people outside of moronic fanboys.

In my opinion the PS2 has a way better library of games then any console ever made by far. So to me that's the best console ever but each to there own.
I think it's mostly about sales. I didn't bother reading the entire article because I hate sites that use that reload the page 10x trick to see the entire list for hits.
But everything I did read was about sales of said game, I can't see anyone in there right mind calling Shenmue a bad game.
But from a sales standpoint it flopped badly.
