This has always been like this since computer software existed. This is nothing new, its just the fact that someone finally took the time to read the EULA which is printed in the back of every game and software manual. So what is changed folks? Really...
Poorly paced? Due to lots of driving I assume? I found the driving to be quite relaxing between intense missions and it also gave the ability to explore and admire the work that went into recreating a 1940'5/1950's theme. They did a fanastic job and the story ramps up as you go through each chapter. My opinon, but I thought it was paced just fine.
Yes, at 9 AM PST...Which is an hour and a half away right at this very moment. Like I said though, maybe they had special permission to post early which isn't rare at all.
Come on guys...had to break the embargo? My apologies if you had special permission though.
Hahahaha. Ok, glad I wasn't drinking something when I read your reply. It would have been spit all over my screen and came out of my nose for sure...LOL!
Yeah, It honestly doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You would think they would be in an all out push for Black Ops with reach right around the corner. I just can't seem to grasp why they are putting this demo out now other than to suck in the few that have not bought the game. Possibly the new Xbox 360S owners? Who knows!
Yeah this one will be interesting to watch when it releases and read the reviews and comments. I for one am not looking forward to reviewing it and will definitely be handing it off to one of my editors. :)
LOL! I guess. I am just sitting here scratching my head on this one. 20 million Map packs downloaded since the original Modern Warfare. But I guess there are another 10 millions folks they have not reached yet. Just baffled at this one.
Yeah, whats funny is that the devs joke about how bad the first one was. They realize it and have listened to the fans. They make fun of themselves all the time. Both at E3 and PAX East they were joking about things that were just plain bad with the game, but then said now we have done this instead.
From what I have played so far, they definitely addressed some of the major issues in the first game. So far so good. Fingers are crossed. I have a hands on session in 2 weeks, so we'll see how close they are getting then.
Yup, they did break the embargo. What some won't do for a quick traffic hit. Wow.
Really? Just Really? Buttons....controller? The camera is your buttons, your controllers, your audio and visual. NO need for batteries as it plugs right into a wall outlet or the new Xbox 360 slim. This comparison honestly makes no sense whatsoever. Wow, Sony is really taking off the gloves. Come on now.
Thanks, and honestly I am will show him all of the comments here. It will be a great learning experience. He will also learn how many people actually look at his writing. I don't know if he realizes that quite yet. Do I want to scare him? Yes and no. I do want him to realize that he needs to write on his gut and feelings, but also have to think about the overall picture and not his likes or dislikes only. Examples, comparisons, prior titles, etc.. They all come into play.
Ooops, guess my last comment since limited to 3...lol
Anyhow, its his second review as he is trying to break into the industry and using XXL as a springboard. Is his score high...yes...but also do I change it on him and have him then think this is the norm in the industry? Sure I probably should have edited it to a more realistic score but I also want him to have confidence in his reviews and scores. He'll learn.
Big title, and I'll get big flack ...
Yeah, I am contemplating his score ALOT! Its also the fact that its my 19 year old son that wrote it so I didnt change anything when I published it since I was in the midle of other stuff. But you bring up a great point. Thanks.
That's the overall score I was given by my writer. Just passing it along. Now I will say, he is a Crackdown fanatic hence having him write the review to begin with. I played the game and enjoyed it a lot and had I reviewed it, would have been mid to high 80's.
Get used to it folks. The online codes are here to stay and all companies will begin adopting EA/Ubsioft/Activision's new endeveour. Game's will not drop in cost because developlment costs are the same and its business to be in this to make profit. But this has been coming for a long time and will hurt the rental industry and the used game sales industry in the end.
For those that say they won't buy new. Meh, I cast that statement aside because most of the games...
I would suggest to people to at least give it a try. If one is unsure they should rent it at the very least. Worth $50? No, as Clizzz mentioned, but still an interesting game. Still playing it to try and determine final thoughts and scores for the review. But at times I do sit here and scratch my head wondering what is this game really all about??? LOL!
LOL! Yeah, as said...Its different.....LOL! More of a score board whore game than anything. Interesting moments in it, but overall..wow.
I have some video posted, but its of me playing Dance Central and that isn't being posted anywhere! LOL! But I will not disagree that it seems video isn't always provided which is unfortunate. But it does work very well. Maybe next weekend I will shoot some video at the next demo.
