It doesn't matter what you consider current gen, Xenoblade and The Last Story are part of the same generation as all of them games you listed and both are brilliant games.
Valkyria Chronicles was a great game but it's more a strategy game than an RPG, the same way I wouldn't call XCOM an RPG other than that the list is OK in my books

While I agree with most of your speculation just one thing, the PS3 hasn't outsold the 360 all the evidence and figures reported suggest otherwise. But hey I guess some people still believe the world is flat so this is hardly surprising that people believe the PS3 has outsold the 360.
Although if I want to try and be objective I would say due to the early 360 failure rate the PS3 has more unique owners. But again this it just speculation from ...
Move and Kinect I couldn't care less about, but why is Smart Glass lame it's just an easy way of controlling some Microsoft apps with a touch screen if you so wish.
It's entirely optional and far better then using the controller at least when using the Xbox browser.
I don't think people understand the difference between hardware being maxed out and games looking better over time.
Hence why dumb ass comments get so many agrees, someone could make a simple benchmark for a day one console launch and max out the hardware.....
Prime95 a simple CPU temp/stability testing piece of software less then 1MB in size maxes out any CPU on the market.
Games looking progressively better has nothing to do with maxing...

Original PS3, Big super car premium build materials chrome trimmings all the options, costs a ton to produce sold at a loss but great value for money. Power steering (heat sensitive buttons) and automatic doors.
Old PS3 slim, Sports car good build quality less quality materials, most of the options, power steering removed although still with automatic doors. Smaller profile and more fuel efficient.
Protip, not every game that comes out of Japan has to be aimed towards a western audience.

Honestly if you bought that game expecting an in-depth volleyball simulator, it says a lot more about you than the game.
I seriously doubt that, a general rule to emulate is you need about 10x the performance of the original.

As far as am aware the Wii U only has one touch panel, I was also under the impression the screen doesn't support multi touch. An while if that's true its not great by any means at least some good will come from it.
1) With the screen being so big and hard to navigate naturally due to the large bezel I doubt there will be much room to integrate tons of gesture based controls.

It has support for a handful of Android based devices, It needs to loosen up platform restrictions badly if it's to become anything more then a niche marketplace.
It has a long long long way to go before it comes anywhere close to even shadowing iOS and the Google play store.

Some brand advertisement can miss its mark and result in a bad consumer image actually lowering sales upon an already established brand.

Yeah share holders will be thrilled with Sony buying an unproven cloud gaming platform. It's simply not going to happen doesn't make sense and Sony cant afford to be slashing cash around.
My personal favourite console but objectively its got decent competition. PSX, Super Nintendo and Sega Megadrive come to mind, maybe even the Atari 2600 if you want to be super retro.
