By your reasoning no game should get a 10/10 because EVERY game can be improved.

'Perhaps even life changing. '

Come on now, let's not get carried away.

If I hadn't played it before now, I'd be buying it as soon as possible and playing it. It's one of the best games ever made. The only reason I could see for not wanting to play it yet is if you didn't enjoy playing great games.

It might have been disappointing to some people, but there is no way it is one of the worst games of the year.

Samuel L. Jackson has one of the most recognisable voices in the world. I don't know how you wouldn't have noticed it was him. Unless you had never heard his voice before I suppose.

I'm hoping I can get a mortgage soon so I can get a decent house. I've always wanted to have a games room, a decent sized one. I'd love to fill it with some arcade games, a full size Space Harrier would be on top of my list. Or maybe Outrun lol.

'I miss arcades :( '

You and me both. I grew up in a seaside town which had loads of arcades, I used to hang around in there most weekends, watching people play after I'd burned through my £2 pocket money (lol). I loved it.

I live in a more urban environment now, but there were still plenty of arcades up until the late 90s. I used to spend hours in there in college in '93 playing SF2, we had tournaments going at the time. There were some ...

What would you give it out of 10? And why should I trust your opinion over the many, many reviewers that have gave it poor reviews?

Lol @ people thinking that their next gen consoles will have anything like 32gb. Seriously. 8 gb is probably a stretch.

Thinking these visuals will be the norm on next gen are pipe dreams.

The media will always find any other reason to blame than someone simply being batsh*t crazy. It's not just games, they are just the favourite trend. Books and films have been the whipping boys in the past, now it's easier to blame games.

It sells papers and gives them ideas for content, it's easy money.

The fact is there are crazy people in this world that will commit terrible acts, that can be set off by anything. An argument with a neighbour, a...

'Gabe Newell syndrome'

That's nothing to do with Gabe Newell really, it's a thing called 'Wanting more profit'. It's been around long before Gabe was on the scene.

Apart from that, I agree with what you are saying. I just think it's wrong to pinpoint something so widespread, and something that has been going on since someone started selling products thousands of years ago, and point to Gabe Newell and say 'he started it'...

Half Life 1 and 2 did amazing sales, Half Life 2 has sold over 12 million copies for instance. The Left 4 Dead series has sold over 11 million. If the console launches with Half Life 3 exclusively for that console, it will help sell it.

Valve are not unknowns. And there is this thing called 'Marketing' that helps sell products to people who are not aware of products that are being sold.

Valve also make games as well. And they will likely get more studios to make games for it. Sony,MS and Nintendo aren't the only ones capable of getting exclusives.

Considering that he's the president of the company I'd say that won't be happening anytime soon. While I think he does talk up his games a lot, he's not really much different from many other people who are making games and proud of them.

And his comments in interviews tend to get cherry picked for headlines, so it makes him look worse.

'Crysis 3 on PC is going to be a benchmark experience for at least two years.'

On pc. PC. Sorry did you read the interview?

No, of course you didn't. You just looked at the headline and decided to churn out the old Guerrilla games /naughty dogs/santa Monica line that ps3 fanbois always churn out.

'all you 360 Fan boys would buy it in a heartbeat.'

Lol, you know what they say about people who assume. I'm no 360 fanboy, I've got one but I barely play on it, just like I barely play on my ps3.

Don't get your knickers in a twist because I'm talking about MGS, take your hurt feelings elsewhere.

'^ Isn't that how I'm supposed to respond? I'm new to acting like a PC d-bag. '

Try stringing a decent sentence together. It helps. What's a PC d-bag for a start?

I've had to turn a few settings down, but I've got a steady 60 fps. I'm seeing none of these problems you are talking about iistuii.

I have a 2500k and a 570gtx for reference sake.
