I enjoyed it more than any other game released that year. So it succeeded in what it set out to do, for me. It was my GOTY for that year.

They still, each, sold over 20 million units, the n64 sold over 30 million. The N64 and the Gamecube were still profitable for Nintendo, and the Xbox laid the foundation for MS to gain a much bigger market share with the 360.
They certainly didn't 'crash and burn'.
People that bring up the iphone or ipad are missing the point. Apple at this moment of time have a huge fanbase, far bigger than Sony, Sony could only dream of having a fanbase as large. People who buy iphones and ipads would buy a turd in a box with the Apple logo.

There are a few exclusives I want for my ps3 this year, last year there were none. The exclusives are great and all, but I buy far more games for my pc. A pc for $700 would be a much wiser investment than the ps4.
That's not to say I won't be buying a ps4, because it would undoubtedly have many games worth buying over its lifespan. But I won't be paying $700 for one, and neither would the vast majority of the gaming community. It just wouldn't happen.

Yeah those vids are so cool. I love the way he wears a box on his head. And half a melon. And the way people in spandex are moving things around for him, although the price of those spandex people must be a bit costly. I'm not sure how many spandex people I'll need in my room, probably quite a few.
