Final Fantasy IV was one of the best FF's ever and if done well, it would be a great game. I would love to revisit that FF universe.

Outcry isn't pointless, outcry is what gets a desired result. I would guess that the reason those companies changed the activation limit was because they got enough outcry from enough people to actually make the change.

Old or not, it is new to me. Regardless it is still unfathomable to have to wait 30 days to get a fraud flag off your account. I had to deal with a fraud thing on one of my credit cards once. I bought a bunch of stuff on there, and they flagged it. It took a phone call, a transfer and I got a resolution. In no more than 30 mins.

If it is suspected fraud all they need to/can do is verify your information they have on file.

The pc game that I always went back to was Quake 3. I have installed that game so many times I can't even count. I actively played the game for what 7 or 8 years.

FFXI I have played for what 3 or 4 years. I have installed that game more than 3 times. I own a computer and a laptop. I install games on both machines for the most part unless it is to graphics intensive for my laptop.

Ever get a dead hard drive? The time that I did an image copy of my hard drive the thi...

Well DRM is a part of the product, so it deserves to be scrutinized.

The problem isn't the 250 gb a month. Most people won't use that. Even when I was bting albums a while back like all the time, I wasn't at that. My uploads were pretty high due to the nature of bt.

My point is that it will start out with 250 gb to see if the FCC would allow it. Then they would slowly lower the limit, and lower it until they are at the limit that they truly want. You give inch now, you will eventually lose a lot more than that.

If Sony wants these games to hit the mainstream in a big way then yes they should be responsible for part of the marketing. If Sony would have had ads all over the place ala Halo 3 they would have had sold many more consoles.

In case you are unaware, uncompressed files is a good thing. Compression which is used on most games means there is a loss of quality in the files.

Cd's use .wav files which is uncompressed audio and bigger in size. Mp3 is a compression method used to make songs smaller in size, at the cost of sound quality.

If you can't even grasp what compression is, how can you comment about HD gaming, or HD movies. I say you shouldn't. :)

Final Fantasy VII came out what a year and half after the original PS came out. Final Fantasy X came out just a little over a year after the PS2 came out. If I am not mistaken both those games sold better than FFXII. Although I didn't care for X at all, I never even finished the game.

At the rate we are going with the development with FFXIII we won't see this in America until 3 - 3 1/2 years into the life of the console. 4 - 4 1/2 for the Xbox.

Isn't cnet.com owned by Microsoft. Or something along those lines.

I read the article, and I don't really care how much Microsoft gets off the part. They could be losing money for all I care. It is just plain stupid to charge people 170 bucks for a hard drive. They could have done it like Sony and made it user upgradable.

100 bucks for a wifi adapter that is ridiculous as well. Mass producing the wifi chipset would have made the production costs of that, minimal. I always made the argument not to play games on wifi, but with consoles it changes...

For less than the price of the recharge kit, you can get a longer usb cord, and an hdmi cable.

www.monoprice.com

If you're really smart you can use a smartphone charger that uses a mini usb to plug it into an outlet close to you. Or just buy two controllers, which is what most people do. :)

DRE was easily fixed by cleaning off the lens of the drive. Not really a hard task. I had my ps2 from launch and whenever I got dre. I looked it up online saw that you just needed to clean off the lens and that was it. Took about 20 minutes to do.

Granted it was a problem, but still it was an easy fix that only took 2 mins too look up online.

If you're paying 50 bucks for an hdmi cable you deserve to get ripped off.
